A couple of days late but my wife finished a full-day professional driving course at the Sonoma Raceway on Friday (formerly Sears Point, Infineon, etc.). The main advantage to other driving courses was, of course, driving her own car -- 2011 911 Carrera S cab, which they insisted on driving top up -- so she was able to improve her skills on her own car. Four days @ the Fairmont Sonoma Inn & Spa, very relaxing.

I did nothing to or with the 997, however I did affix to my mountain bike a couple of Porsche stickers that Wayne Smith gave to me.

I then rode it during lunch for a 15 mile fire road loop up and down Inverness Ridge and the Coast Trail. I don't think that the bike (or I) performed any better with the stickers on, however they sure look cool.

Thanks Wayne!

Cool!

Anything with a Porsche sticker performs better! Remember... there is no substitute!

Yup, that is the truth, there is (absolutely) no substitute!

I actually did think that I rode the loop faster yesterday...although when I checked Strava (fitness app) it only showed that I had one sectional record for the ride, so I filed the joy to not riding for nearly a week prior to yesterday.

BUT I just had a moment to re-check the data and I believe that the app had a hiccup because my time for yesterday's ride was 3 minutes faster than previous iterations, so it looks like the decals did increase HP, reduce drag, plant me better...and most importantly, look cooler!

Now if I can just get them to make the bike sound better, I may be onto something!

Looks like you need to put a P decal on the computer running Strava... that'll fix it!

Drove it through four inches of fresh snow with more on the way. Both of us had a real good time.

David, I'm positive your ability to brake much later with the +40(hp) stickers contributed heavily to your 3 minute improvement. Imagine shaving 3 minutes off your times at Laguna? Those stickers are amazing.

In other news I had planned to wash the ol' gray frog today, (the entire body is coated in dirt to the point it feels like a dry tongue) but it's so foggy it actually appears to be raining... Guess I'll just park it near some naked hippies up at Harbin Hot Springs instead...

Meanwhile my new Eibach swaybars sit patiently in their box, waiting in the guest room.

Cleaned leather with damp paper towel. Wiped with Macguiar's leather conditioner. Griot's vinyl and rubber treatment. Then Macguiar's spray detail for frunk hood and front panels. Now, time to enjoy it before cold and winter weather arrive!

Detailed it after last weeks HPDE. Melted tire rubber is a PAIN IN THE rear end.

Got confirmation that my Fisters will be here in time to install this weekend.
