I had over 50 rock chips in my hood in my 05 C2 when I bought it in September. On friday I had the guy who fixes chips for the local dealer do mine on the side for $90. It took him almost 4 hours but it came out absolutely perfect.

Drove 1495 miles from Boonville, MO to our new home in Phoenix, AZ. So nice to finally have my car home with me. I nursed that can of Red Bull from Amarillo to Flagstaff.

I added protective mesh in front of the radiators. It's an easy DIY. DaveSeehttps://rennlist.com/forums/997-forum/732337-first-diy-mesh-radiator-protector.html#post10095025

Got my SmartTop today and programmed it. Installation is tomorrow, just in time for the cold and snow. Oh well, at least now I can enjoy the chirps of the doors locking and unlocking.

Thanks! It was a nice drive and the snowy scenery was nice, but I don't hold the average Arizonan motorist in very high regards. A co-worker told me if you want to find an Arizona driver look toward the smell of burning rubber and the sound of broken glass. I had my folks following me in a U-Haul truck coming down I-17 so in an effort to stay within sight of each other when we hit metro Phoenix, I kept it at the speed limit and to the right lane which seemed to be something unforgivable to everyone else on the road. I-17 was a racetrack yesterday. Not sure how many times we got flipped off. "Merry Christmas to you too buddy". We laughed about it because everyone seemed to be in a hurry to get that extra couple minutes off their commute. SMH. Good to have the 911 in our new home though.

Took a short run up Route 1 on Christmas Eve Eve. Beautiful weather. Second shot is from Vandenberg AFB--looking to the south toward one of their many launch complexes and Honda Point just visible near the water (between the poles)--site of the largest peacetime USA Naval disaster in the 1920s.

Finished my door sill project (both outside and inner)
Phew all that elbow grease was worth it!

That looks spectacular!
CF around the base of the shifter would really finish that off!

It did occur to me that once you do the shifter base, then you have to move up to the center display area! Uh Oh!

I removed the stock exhaust on my 2007 c2s, installed a fabspeed header, sport cats and muffler that I found on ebay way cheap off of a 2004 c4s in that was in near perfect condition, and changed spark plugs while I was in there. A little sore in my neck and back with nicked up hands even with gloves on due to tight work spaces, but very worth it. In sport mode the throttle response is much improved, revs come more quickly, and no drone when not applying excessive throttle. A little loud with throttle down, but not overly so. Next weekend installing third radiator while the outside temperature in Florida is in the 70's! I hate sweating!

did a couple doughnuts in the snow outside my house, and had the crotchety old hag across the street call the police to come over and "have a talk" with me.

The neighbors called the police on my son and his buddies last week. Apparently, they were going down the hill in our neighborhood on longboards going about 35 mph. Police just laughed it off but told them not to do it anymore. I hope your experience went the same. BTW It's fun to act like a kid every once in a while. Right....
