I am not an electrical engineer, but I am not afraid to do some experimenting.
Here you go. I followed the instructions exactly:

Super simple.

Gave it some love and drove it yesterday for the 1st time in nearly two weeks.

Man, that special smell that emanates after the door is opened, the growl of the engine when the beast wakes-up, the unique groans from the energized mechanicals, rowing the 6MT along the winding West Marin roads...jeez, the only thing that could be better than driving it to fetch my SO is making out with her in the 997 at the beach near home!

P.S. Thanks for the idea Comanche!

Installed my Fister Exhaust last night. I was REALLY hesitant about the swap, to a point where I actually thought about sending it back to Fister and eat the shipping. I just hate messing with OEM; BUT, I went ahead and swapped it our real quick and WOW, am I glad I did it. The sound is amazing!

One thing that really caught my attention were the welds; super clean and beautiful.

Getting my eibach springs installed today.. will post pics later!

Would the addition of a 200 cell cat, x-pipes, air intake or a combination of any of those make it "louder" without the drone (reason I didn't go with an after market exhaust). Not that I'm ready to go any louder, just getting educated.

If you own a 997.2, Sharkwerks has some pipes to replace your center muffler. Those will make it louder without adding any drone.

I would not change the air intake for one of those "hot engine air" intakes, which teh vendors call "cold air intakes."

Wasn't so concerned with the 3 inches of snow, as much as the salted roads...cost me nada to ship to hibernation at climate controlled facility thanks to AAA.

Thanks for asking.
