well mine isn’t a 997 wheel but it’s in my 997. Parted it together exactly how I wanted it, (most of you probably know that all the trim pieces are interchangable on the 991.2 wheels). The wheel is similar to the 991.2 GT3/RS/GT2RS/GT4 wheels that are ordered to personal preference.
Does that 991.2 steering fit perfectly into a 997.1? Do you know the air and wheel part numbers? Did you have to replace the steering wheel module? Thanks.

Should bolt right up if you don't have multi function buttons or a pdk/tiptronic. I have one of these, just needed the correct airbag and it all works perfectly and no, doesn't affect the horn function at all.

All indications it's a GTS Sport (manual trans) steering wheel.....Not sure the where it exactly came from (it was installed prior to my purchase of the car) but Suncoast Parts does sell them.

Sports Design steering wheel, these cam from 997.2 and 991. Buy them used on Rennlist, eBay or PCA to save money. You'll need an airbag from the same generation. You will also need a 997.2 steering wheel module if you want to switch your tiptronic to paddles.
It's a 3-4 hour DIY job with plenty of support on Rennlist.
Hadn't posted this in a while I don't think. Custom 991 Cup Car wheel with integrated controls wired into a Krontec QR and shift light. Made a custom clockspring harness, indicator module and center console switch module and tapped the ECU for the shift light. What started as a need for knee space by extending the wheel a few inches turned into this.
The 991 version seems much more common secondhand so I'm trying to figure out if there's any reason to prefer the 997.2 version for installing on a 997.1.
