Ha, me too. Just put CF wrapped Moshammer side skirts on mine - they don't offer them in real CF and make the only design I like. Should look cool out in the sun.
At some point I'm going to strip the silver paint off my RUF carbon fiber wing that the first owner had painted and have it re-cleared.

Isn't there a cool CF rear wing you can get for the Turbo that also keeps the active aero upper wing rising and lowering - I think that's pretty cool when it goes up and down and why I converted my rear fixed wing to do that with Rennkit E-rams.

In all seriousness tho, the 997 and mine in particular should be looked at, as a work of art. I dont use any garbage parts and take every detail into consideration. The whole engine brace thing was kind of a hack job but **** happens and it still got done. I invite anyone to come take a gander at my build and tell me its subpar in anyway. Whatever maybe some of you guys should try working on your car for once. My builds are bad *** ask the m3 forum guys. Oh wait you cant cus their forum got shut down and they cant afford to be on here!! You got zilvia tho : )

ferrari chat next. That should be fun. 458speciale

edit: this build will be a high revving gt2 build. G97 box gt3 crank and heads. The whole 9.
There are a lot of the M3 guys on here. I don't recall you ever actually completing your M3 build? You bought a bunch of high end parts and then sold them all and then bought the 997. Are you planning to do the same with this car or will it actually be finished?

I'll anxiously await your ferrari chat thread, that'll be something else.

ohhhh just wait my man : ) I plan on being the youngest 458 speciale owner. W/o YouTube or mommy and daddy money too already got my fchat account sitting pretty. Prob not too many m3 guys on there
: ))))))

As far as the M3, I got tired of spending insane money and time on the car just to hear loads of garbage from all the salty naysayers. So I sold out. Porsche’s are better than bmws anyways. Not to mention as soon as I got into my turbo, M3f got shutdown. Karmas a b*tch ain’t it. I hope all the m3 guys are enjoying Facebook now : ) serves them right. I still love my bmws tho Dw.

and yes, this car will be finished. Unless everyone starts annoying the **** out of me.

i appreciate the thought, this car is ugly as f*ck tho.
This (My) build is a 997gt2 on steroids, not some early 2000s rapper mistake. No sense in spending 200k on a gt2 to modify the **** out of it tho.

I'd advise against leaving a partially disassembled $300k 458 Speciale outside 24/7. Maybe focus on getting a garage first.

I guess everyone is different but a bunch of naysayers wouldn't keep me from building my dream car. There are actually two new forums, but no need in leading bad attitudes there.

As far as f chat accounts, who cares? I have an account on there as well as many others, what's the big deal? These are all enthusiast cars and lots of Ferrari owners have M3s, Porsches and likely every other brand out there.

eh i doubt i would change the speciale, its actually well put tg stock unlike alot of cars *cough*bmw*cough*
as far as the naysayers, ive had enough with them and had to flex on them. Who wants a m3 over a mezger anything anyways 🤷🏻‍♂️

im sure both of those “new” forums arent 1/2 of what m3f was. M3f was a wealth of beautiful information and community that got destroyed by its very own inhabitants.

My car, ugly? That's hysterical. Someone who modifies Porsches and doesn't appreciate a RUF styled and tuned 997 that's actually worth more than what you'll end up with - . think you might be in the wrong forum.

Let's see if you end up with a car that looks good and actually runs, since you're talking about changing the crankshaft and other internal engine components, but threw in the towel on the prior Bimmer project. You're talking about using a GT3 crankshaft, but the bore and stroke of your Turbo engine is actually larger and longer than a GT3 or GT2 crank. Stroke is determined by the crank, so you're plan is to shorten the stroke vs what you have now - that will reduce your displacement and your compression ratio. Just putting parts from the GT motors into your engine with the same architecture doesn't necessarily mean it's going to be an improvement and the DME will also need to be retuned.

Good luck, but based on your history, think you're in over your head here.

Gotta go write a new rap.

If you bought a Porsche to “flex on them” it sounds like you bought the car for the wrong reason in the first place. Do you also own the hat and jacket to go along with it?
