Might want to consider a clear protective film on the front of the plexi windshield to keep it from getting like plastic headlights do from impacts and road debris. Then you just peel it off and put on a new one. May make the clarity of the softer plexi windshield last a lot longer than it being naked.

Some initial thoughts, in my order i opted for the thicker cut glass. The windshield is very thick in comparison to the stock wind shield glass. At this point i am thinking that the poly windshield is heavier than the glass counterpart. I believe the rear is lighter not sure by how much tho.

So i weighed the front glass because I just couldn't sleep at night thinking that the plastic was heavier than the glass. The poly came in at 17lb and the glass 23lb.
Not terrible. Im now curious to see how long I can keep the glass nice. More details soon!! If I had to do it again I would prob order a mm off the front and rear glasses. Also very interested to see how the side windows hold up after being rolled up and down.

All seems incredibly wasteful, but I'm glad someone's getting paid somewhere.
This is one of those continuing examples that's throwing a mish-mosh of random parts in hopes of (???) as opposed to addressing specific parts if you wanted strategic weight loss, performance, unsprung weight reduction, etc.
but whatever, I like watching trainwrecks so keep up the good work.
