so i sprung a massive coolant leak : )
that sucks
but, the brace is “in” still needs 2 more bolts. But it should hold the motor, for the 2 blocks to get it into the shop and finish what i have started.

Did you crack the coolant pipe having the edge of your jacking board underneath it?

Did you use the sunglasses as a cushion between the board and pipe?

Step carefully away from the Sawz-all. I don't care what you are doing on the car, it's not the right tool.

I haven't used the sawzall in days lol, I'm not sure why the coolant leak occurred.
car should should be in the shop in next day or so for the following

gt3 carpet install
rear pads/rotors
fwd system removal
fix coolant leak
swap the rsr brace for proper gt3 cup brace
install straight pipes.

The coolant leak resulted from improper jacking of the motor using your 4x4. You spread the load across the water pump/oil scavenger pump casting which most likely cracked it or the coolant casting going to the head.

you are correct. I thought it was one piece, it was not. Should have been supported on both sides. I will have to give it some more inspection once i get it on the lift.

You only want to pick up on the case with a notched block to prevent damaging the casting or other things. You will want to most likely pull both the coolant housing and water pump housing off the motor to inspect for cracks.

And possibly weld the coolant fittings in if that hasn’t been done to the car already.
