definitely should do it...

And other than having to jam yourself down in the drivers foot-well, the switch bypass takes about 10 seconds to accomplish.

Why thank you all for noticing my purchase - didn’t realize it set a record but worth the price when you consider the condition of the car but its all about what makes one happy - and I’m HAPPY - but don’t worry about it being a “garage queen”: I’ll be driving her, not just looking at her! And when she arrives at my home this week, it will sit right next to my 2001 996 C4 that I’ve Safari’d …. And around the corner from the Taycan Cross Turismo 4S I’m picking up on Friday…. Oh this Porsche life…

I was thinking about doing a Safari car for the Edmonton winters...but I would buy a really good driver quality one and build off that...

Maybe a Tiptronic Turbo? I'd love to drive that C4 and see how it handles while being raised...

I'll give it a look this weekend - just a small spade jumper for the fix?

The easiest thing is to use a fuse. Just plug the wires into the 2 fuse tabs. Amperage does not matter.

I used a spade to interconnect the two wires that were connected to the clutch switch.

yes, either two male spade lugs crimped on to an inch or two of wire, or as @theprf mentioned, a spare fuse. You are just shorting the two leads that normally go to the switch together which provides a ground signal.

I don't get it. The accumulator is only there to assist clutch pedal prior to start. So why bypass the accumulator to save the accumulator?? Or better yet: why save the accumulator at all; mine hasn't worked in ages who cares???
