That Cayman S was a fun little car, though I could never bond with the Tiptronic... But thats another story.

I tried again with a Cayman GT4 RS... Made me realize I prefer 1) The 911 platform and 2) turbocharged Porsches.

Is there something that goes over that, or is the glass aftermarket? Haven't spent any time in the Cayman platform, but I haven't seen that before...

Kinda neat.

Aftermarket, it was made by a company called HIP design. Excellent fit and finish. The way it should have been built in the first place IMHO. But I don't think they are still producing them...

The stock cover is an insulated metal panel then covered with carpet.

There is a 2001 Turbo with 54k miles on PCA mart listed at $89k. Wow

Mine is as well when all options are compared (Aerokit and full carbon package) but paid slightly more than half of that asking price. I would think it would need to be an X50 car for that money.

I guess you have answered your own question?

Put that red interior with black carpet in your seal grey aerokit car and if the mileage was sub-50k you could ask $90k and no one would question it. Grey over red is very desirable. classic Porsche.

has the c4s lip on it, looks clean. its worth 33-35k at tops with those miles though..assuming relatively clean carfax.

I don't know what the actual value would be but the Aerokit is another man's red seats.

True, but when all is said and done it come down to everything. Mileage, color combo, options, etc. The primary factor these days is mileage, and it is overwhelming. A 996TT with ~90k miles is worth about half of what the exact same spec car is with ~20k miles.

I have the C4S lip and I like it.

That would be a nice car to winter daily up here...too bad I have negative garage space...
