Where do you think the biggest hit is?

20k vs. 90k is pretty clear. What about 20 vs. 30, or 30 vs. 40, or 40 vs. 50?
Also 90k to 180k seems to halve the value again.

That is a tough call. The market fluctuates a bit.

10,000 mile increments are kind of too small to make a judgement.

I would say the biggest difference in valuation comes from 20K to 50K and as you correctly stated the valuations seem to halve every 50-75,000 additional miles after that.

I feel like the cutoff for driver vs collector seems to be at 50-60k miles (100,000). I feel like once you're past that, the car is almost "over the hill" to the collectible low-mileage premium.

I'm not an expert, but since I am in the market for a Turbo, I have been looking hard at pricing (and mileage). I have noticed that cars with 30K or less are selling for a good bit more than ones with even 40-50K. I would say it appears, for real collector car mileage, 20K is looking like the real cut-off.

From some quick analysis I did from the Bat Market data, the highest mileage 996 TT that sold for over 100K had 44k miles on it in 2021. It was 05 Turbo S

I don't think an S is a good comparison point. They usually sell for quite a bit more.

all of the other cars over 100k had less miles than that one and some were not turbo S. Wish I could export the data to csv.

As a bit of bonus exercise to my Production Sheet, I pulled some sales data as part of my verification process. I have 461 non-Turbo S cars over all years and here's what I found - note that I could not always find the DATE of sale or IF the car actually sold, which obviously matters a lot.

Highest Mile/Highest sale (2001): https://www.916auto.com/pre-owned-ca...Carrera/567258
Highest Mile/Highest sale (2002): https://topcheapcar.com/car/Used-200...AB29982S686422
Highest Mile/Highest sale (2003): https://rennlist.com/forums/vehicle-...o-blk-blk.html
Highest Mile/Highest sale (2004): https://bringatrailer.com/listing/20...-911-turbo-21/

A lot of these are heavily modified and may have ridiculous asking prices. I have not mapped it all out yet, but @sdematt is correct that values drop precipitously after 50K miles. There are maybe a couple dozen cars of all years (for the data I have) that sold for >$60K with >60K miles.

Interestingly, the "floor" for the Turbo S appears to be about $49K. Even the highest mileage (97,000) still sold for that much, and there was another slightly lower mile one that sold for about the same.

Maybe I’m bias, but I have to think this is one of the cleanest examples out there…12k miles and recently completed Porsche Classic Dealer sourced and installed X73 suspension.

I didn't think X73 was still available.

This is a very interesting proposition, since I bought my Turbo to drive, not to sit. Bought at 88k km, and now sits at 105k km. Since I was already close to that benchmark, should I have just not driven it? I don't think so.

I think what it means more for me is the next one needs to be HIGHER mileage so I can enjoy it TOTALLY guilt free

It took a lot of investigative work in PET to track down revised part numbers, piece together components from Techquipment etc..but it is achievable. That said…it was NOT cheap. It’s such a pristine example (pre-install photos attached), I felt obligated to keep it OEM but it would have been half the price, or better, to go with a nice set of Ohlins or similar on the aftermarket.

I have X73 that I purchased from Carnewal many years ago (purchased and installed in April 2004.) According to Gert (Carnewal's owner) Porsche's X73 is no longer available.

Additionally, information that I've seen on this forum has indicated that X73 is no longer available. Maybe I misread things.
