@GarrettSR5 The first listing is in Punta Gorda and probably a Hurricane Ian casualty. I have a crib just north of there that was damaged with the boat and thankfully my tt was not there. Insurance will restore the house and boat but one of these beauties not so much...

Apparently that dealer is specialized in water damaged and theft recovery cars, I think there's probably a bad story behind that car

There's a thread on here I found the previous owner
https://rennlist.com/forums/996-turb...ispreloading=1

It was flooded in Houston. Seller was refinishing the Turbo headlights and thats why it has 4S headlamps now. Looks like water was about halfway up the wheels

this is tempting

2001 996 Turbo Porsche - cars & trucks - by owner - vehicle... (craigslist.org)

higher miles but its a 6 speed. i think for 45k it might be worth it.

I know it makes more of a difference for borescoring on the M9X engines but What difference would the climate make for the TTs?

Salt corrosion to the undercarriage could be an issue maybe

Oh yea, that makes sense. I live in a colder climate but they don't use salt or chamicals on the road here so I don't think of it.

Will be interested to see where this one goes for price. Water level looks to be right at the airbox ?

Well appointed 99 C2. Yellow, painted hard backs, Aero. Has amber tails but is a 12/98 and ambers were gone by 6/98 or 7/98 I believe. Hard part would be finding an aero front bumper and cleaning the interior - smashed windshield definitely allowed water ingress
Shame.

I'm picking up the yellow 99 Friday. Copart is notorious for inaccurate descriptions. It's a C4, part out will be coming soon. It is a non-repairable/cert. of destruction title, so it won't see public roads again.
