I take it to mean it has been serviced, but that's the first question I'd have. I'm guessing that English isn't the owner's first language. It's intriguing enough that if I was in New York, I'd go see it in person.

You're probably right. I feel sorry now. I shouldn't have gotten all rude and condescending.

I didn’t intend that as criticism- sorry it came across that way. I bought my X1/9 off of a similar ad, and the seller turned out to be an immigrant from Vietnam. Really good guy, but the language barrier just made it tough for him to market it. That’s what made me think of it.

It wasn't that long ago that it was a little embarrassing to own one of them. But lately, they've picked up a following. I had one as a kid and have always had a soft spot in my heart for them. As an occasional use car, they are great. As a daily driver that I drove year round to college, it was a nightmare. I'm taking it to our local PCA autocross in 2 weeks, along with my '73 914 2.0. We're going to drive them back-to-back to compare.

I thought it was cheap for a clean X50 car with some nice upgrades and a well known enthusiast owner, 115k miles is nothing on these if they have been maintained. Glad i wasnt watching it at the end or i might have been tempted to bid.

Agree, I expected it to end at $60-62k with fees. Very nice driver with no worries of mileage depreciation.

Nice ride for the price.

Older cars can gobble up money, but not always…and you can take your time going through the car. Sure you may have a higher mileage car, but if you intend on keeping it and it’s well sorted, who cares if it has some miles.

Not a find in the sense of a good deal, quite the opposite, but I wanted to show it as I think it's interesting.

Behold - a 110k mile tippy X50 with FOUR accidents, asking $46k. It has some nice options but with four collisions I wouldn't touch it for $10k off the ask price.

The ad doesn't even say X50 at the top, most people are going to laugh and close the page before they get to read it buried deep into the copy.

Mileage doesn't scare me a bit on these Mezgers, As long as a good service history and maintained I don't see any issues. If you want a low mileage car to park and look at be my guest, I wouldn't pay up for that. My X50 has 150k on it and runs and drives like new

Depending on the accidents it would necessarily scare me off on a clean driver's car with nice options. The mileage also wouldn't bother me for a driver. What would bother me are the hideous wheels and possible aftermarket mods. Price seems fair though and you can probably get them down closer to $40k. No way that car would sell anywhere near $35k with a clean title.

What do you consider low mileage?

Four accidents I think scares off a solid majority of buyers
