BaT is fine, it’s the peanut gallery who never buy anything, but ask stupid questions and criticize the seller and the listing.

In my view the peanut gallery represents 100% of the value of BaT as a venue. There are many expert eyeballs poring over every minute detail of every picture and doing their best to keep sellers honest. The truly stupid comments are usually ostracized quickly . Without the peanut gallery, Bat would be just a showcase for dishonest liars to misrepresent their cars.

peanut gallery- is a group of people who criticize someone, often by focusing on insignificant details.

That’s what I mean by peanut gallery. I am not talking about the “expert eyeballs” as you state.

I find it amusing when a BaT chucklehead asks about the IMS bearing on a Metzger engine, or about the DME report for a Tiptronic turbo. They are usually flamed quickly by more knowledgeable BaT members. I also enjoy when a BaT member tells the seller and the audience more about the vehicle in question than almost anyone else knew.

This car is similar to my car when I bought it (except my transmission is fine) so I'm interested to see what this goes for. Also tempted to buy it and road trip it home to fix up as another project.
