finally got the car back after being in the shop for 3 wks... had a laundry list of things to get done, t-stat (car wasn't warming up), water pump (while you are in there), installed cats, numeric shifter and cables, trans fluid, and most importantly replaced the passenger door latch (god that part is expensive)... going to try and put some miles on it this week since we have a nice stretch of warmer temps before putting it away for the winter...
i did try with a used unit, but when my indy put it in, he couldn't get it to work... not sure if i just got a bum one... so i just told him to source me a new one since everything was open and i didn't want to hold him up any longer... i figure the original one lasted 21 years so a new oem one may outlive my ownership of the car...
Pullled one of my recaros from the b5 avant and installed it in the drivers seat to see how I like the car with a little more connection to the chassis! I didn’t bother with the passenger seat since I need to be able to shove the kids in back.
I finally finished installing new coil springs, Bilstein B6, shock mounts, dust boots, bump stops, tie rod ends, (inner &outer), coffin arms, tuning forks, drop links, motor mounts, transmission mount and all new fasteners.

While all you sissy garage queeners put your turbos to bed for the winter I put the snow tires on today since we are expecting a couple inches of the white stuff tonite here in Albany NY! No offense meant just some light-hearted ribbing! I'll put the hard top on later as I like to do top down on the nice days!
