I have a car with long straight pipes and it does that; it also melted the rear valance because it got so hot back there. I wouldn't do it again.
Typically you have the straight pipes sticking out about 3 inches from your bumper so that doesnt happen or pointed up/down.

Yeah, no - the R creates a bit of a vacuum effect at the back and just sucked those buggers in - didn't even burn it as much as melted and deformed it, a little...

What do you mean vacuum effect? The scavenge pulse? Ive never heard of an exhaust sucking something in, unless the valves had a problem.

At the back of the car, at speed, there is a 'void' or 'vacuum' of air as the car moves - this causes odd things to get thrown up on the rear glass, and, a huge fireball like effect, especially with a tail wind.

It is impressive, and scared the crap out of me the first time I noticed it happened when I looked in the rear view. Over the course of a few months, it buggered up the rear valance. I'll take a pic of it if I have some time today.

You obliterated them or the cars they were driving?

I'm sure you know that if the "kid" loses it and gets injured or killed in the wreck you can be charged criminally.

Oh, that. Thought you meant something went into the out hole.

Yeah, it's really weird - only car I have ever had that does that - really messed up the exhaust exit.

Are you completely oblivious to the fact that you sometimes say things that really dont need to be said?

You sure kill a lot of highs around here.

I think it's important to understand the potential legal consequences of one's actions.

Soooooo, here is the pic of the fireball effect - just noticed that I haven't even cleaned it since the last time I drove it...

Due to the extensive engine build and headwork, if I run the side dump it sounds like a 90s F1 car at 9500rpm. With the 'small' silencer on it, it sounds like a motorcycle with 4 wheels.
