What did you do to your 996TT today?

Oh I agree with all of that.
I think without question that once someone starts modifying their 996 Turbo it becomes a slippery slope that many find out is hard to get off of. I'd actually call it an addiction.
I had a specific target when I started modifying my car. My intent was to keep the car as stock as possible visually, use Porsche parts when I could, hit my target, and then stop modifying the car. I in fact hit my target, and although for a few years after I finished modifying my car I was tempted to do more modifications, I fought those urges off and stayed on target (happy now that I did.) I haven't had the urge to do more modifications on the car for many many years, and I think I'm far enough past it that I'll never be tempted to do anymore mods.
Opinions will vary...

Lookin' good Doc. You'll like the upgrade, for sure. What pads did you go with? Also, what studs are you using?

110 lb/ft?
I had been doing mine to 96 lb/ft based on the owner's manual, and only recently learned that Porsche had increased the spec.
EDIT: Sounds like I was remembering wrong and it should be 100 lb/ft, not 110.

Some chatter about it here---> http://pedrosboard.com/read.php?7,25899
It's been discussed on the Internet for years.

everyone(?) knows that 100ft lbs is and has been the standard for our cars although 96 was the factory spec back in the day. no matter the wheels.
any suggestion for 110 and above? must be for chinese mfg'd bolts. as if that would "help".

your manual couldn't change! it's safely protected in an airlocked and alarmed time capsule lol. all kidding aside. near as i can remember, 100lbs has been the "updated" recommendation since - forever.
specs often change from "new". thankfully. i.e. the amended gear stack shim specs for g50/996t mt gear boxes.
