Yup. Even can do road force balancing... $35 a wheel for mount and balance, $5 extra for road force. Replaced the two rears and road force balanced all four for $100, my garage, his equipment.

Tell me more! I have never heard of that. So you order from TR or someplace similar and then call them? Rad. And priced fair for these low profile tires. is their equipment good enough to not scratch rims? I am guessing they have a compressor, rim clamp machine and balancer on board?

I thought handguns were basically banned in Canada, ie extremely hard to obtain legally?

No, fairly easy to get, just no conceal and carry... No ranges in Vancouver, have to drive out to the valley to use it, or them.

That is pretty cool, did he supply the rubber too?

We use the mobile tyre services at work. It's great, no downtime. I just go in someone's house, do some plumbing, come out and the van has new tyres on it!

It is a great service... The one I used is www.on-sitetires.com that services Dallas and Denver metro, but perhaps there is a similar service near you.

It's a full on-truck tire shop. Quality tire machine, road force balancer, air of course. I had my car up on quickjacks but they also have jacks to lift your car if needed. They service exotics and race cars all the time with wheel sets *far* more expensive than mine.

I already had the tires as spares (tirerack), but onsite-tires definitely sells tires and has fairly competitive tire prices. I have a buddy who has a tirerack commercial account, plus there is a tirerack distribution warehouse nearby (and tirerack gives you a credit if you pick up instead of having them shipped "free"), so it's difficult for any retail tire seller to compete with that on price.

I suppose if you were a shop that was doing brake flushes weekly you could just leave the fluid in the pump and that would be super convenient, but that doesn't seem appropriate for a once-a-year flush.
I pour it back into the can and keep it. I write the date I opened the can and discard it once its been on the shelf too long. Unit cleans up really quickly with a little brake clean. I usually push a full quart thru when I'm flushing the brakes and empty the old stuff from the reservoir with a turkey baster, so I'd have to stop and top off more than 1-2 times. It's just not worth it to me to potentially push air into the system because its basically impossible to get out of the ABS lines at that point.

I have had the 5K for a few years now and really like it and use it quite a bit. I like that it completely is out of the way when not in use. the stands fold down and I place them along the wall on end and put the pump & hoses in my metal cabinet. One thing though is that I have found that the hose connections do tend to leak some over time. Nothing that will prevent it form working or a gusher, but some leaking none the less. I get significantly more clearance with these than stands or ramps. I'm a bit taller, so I even use them to raise the car if I'm doing some engine work which will take a bit of time. It saves my back.

Clutch pedal spring and new cluster. It took about an hour a piece as I took my time.
