Broke 10k...

 

I drove it today. Out of the country for 7 weeks, hopped in and she fired right up. No tender as I cant seem to find mine since I moved. I have been driving a Toyota Avanza van with 105 hp, quite a difference.

 

Well, got the steering wheel extender in and I think it's built for somebody a bit taller than I am. $300 shipped for the giants on the board looking for better ergonomics!

Well, *I* didn't do anything, but I got some pics of Vollig Autowerks' welds on my coolant fittings:

Those, most certainly, do not look they are coming apart. Ever.

 

Ever start one of those projects that seemed like a good idea until you got half-way into it? I had the bright idea to clean all the 15 years worth of baked-on brake dust, dirt, etc. from the calipers. I had the rear tires off anyway, so I cleaned one...not so bad so I will do all the rest. Well, the fronts ended up taking an ungodly amount of time. That crud just does not want to come off. Finally got it done and the only side that shows was already clean, so I may have wasted several hours I will never get back. Oh well. For some reason, resizing the images washed some of the color out......

Yes.

Luckily, I've lived long enough and had what you mention happen to me often enough to normally "see it coming", which generally helps me avoid the problem.

 

Likewise, but the rears, being relatively easy, lulled me into a false sense of security. Then came the fronts, even at twice the size, were at least 5 times as hard to clean.

 

There is a Murphy's Law somewhere that relates to this very process...

Adjusted shifter cables but I cannot say I noticed a change in the test drive that followed.

 

Did you do it with the shifter adjustment tool? Did you notice notchy shifts prior to doing this?

 

Yes I ordered the OEM tool. My reason for this was going into 3rd in the colder months has been notchy and harder to get into. It is better when warmed up but still there sometimes. I have a new OEM 997 tranny mount awaiting install this weekend along with new motor mounts. But I wanted to try this first.

 

Took it for a couple of laps around Point Grey, best driving day of the year and it's sunny!
