That's pretty cool until you want to rev freely to 6k...

Can you disable it if your looking for a misfire?

You must have a pretty bad misfire if you can induce it while free revving. Usually you need some kind of load on the engine.

I suppose I could just reflash to a stock tune if I really needed to.

Why do you have this?

Do you run your 996 Turbo at the dragstrip?

A few reasons:
Because I can. It's a fun "party trick."
And yes, I will probably take this to the drag strip occasionally.

A bit of an asinine question, don't you think? Why do you have your car tuned? Do you plan to race it?

Not for launches from a standstill.

No. I will never race it (on a track or on the street.)

I asked about your modification because I was interested in what you are going to do with it.

Today I put the front spoiler back on and these little carbon wheel well pieces. My sons high school parking lot ate the whole thing last week. Nothing like seeing your spoiler laying in a wwii parking lot. The little carbon pieces were brutal because there was some SERIOUS adhesive all over them and the wheel well. Couple of hours just getting that crap off without wrecking the carbon. Back to the modelling runway!

Changed out the outdated, no bluetooth playin double din yesterday. Nothing special but the color customization allowed me to make it really match the rest of the cars lighting. Looks cool at night for sho!

Nice color match!

I ordered a GT3/Tiptronic PS pump + reservoir to complete the GT2 slave conversion.

Ohlins Coilovers
Control arms front and rear with solid thrust bushings in the rear
Tarett drop links front and rear
New toe links
997 shock mounts in front
Monoball shock mount inserts in the rear

....should be a nice upgrade. All other parts aside from the H&R springs and sway bars were original and could definitely use the refresh

I've never really realized how ugly our engines are, and how long the gearbox is...

Yeah VERY long!

If I had a shop I would do all the mods soon but would rather have a pro do it........kind of strange seeing my car in this state of modifications!
