What did you do to your 996TT today?

There ya go. Obviously the forward portion of the rear fender liner has to have a roughly 3"x3" square cut out of it's lower edge so the air duct can pass through. The diagonal arm spoiler is a direct clip on and directs air to the center of the rear rotor. The lower 996 GT2 air duct is a direct clip on also and directs air to the rotor ring itself. The lower 997 GT2 panel is a direct bolt on but the ends are different between the 996TT and the 997 GT2 panel. I simply cut the ends off the 996TT panel and riveted them to the 997 GT2 panel. The rivets can be seen in the picture. Looks totally OEM. This past weekend I did some testing at the track and the addition of the additional cooling dropped the rear rotor temps roughly 50 degrees F. So it's a worthwhile addition to cars that see frequent track duty.

Installed a new chin spoiler. Took all of ten minutes. I highly recommend it as a DIY.

OEM or aftermarket?

I bought my aftermarket 996TT lip from Bayson R Motorsports. Really good quality.

Did not know that BRM had the GT2/GT3 style.

I might be misleading you a bit. When I say GT2/GT3 style I mean that chin spoiler juts out like the GT2/GT3 chin spoiler. Where as the normal regular stock Turbo spoiler goes pretty much straight down.
Does your aftermarket spoiler jut out like this?

I posted an internet photo of the spoiler above. Here is the eBay listing.
http://www.ebay.com/itm/390486523329...84.m1423.l2649
The version on eBay does not have the satin finish the internet photo I posted does. The eBay spoiler is slightly duller. If you want the eBay spoiler to be semi-gloss you can use one of those plastic restorer products you see on TV on it or glaze it with Flood Penetrol from Home Depot.

I went with aero replacement on my car because I am trying to dial out some of the understeer. I have gone to adjustable sway a bars which helped with low speed cornering and I am hoping the new chin spoiler will help in the higher speed stuff. I am doing a track day in a couple of weeks so I will keep you posted.
