Thank you. Its $1300 USD plus shipping. No need core exchange, and totally custom to your liking.

Default What did you do to your 996TT today?

Do 997tt coils offer an advantage over the 996tt ones?

I haven't bought coils yet, but my understanding is that the 997 coils supercede the 996 coils. Looking in parts catalog to confirm also gives me a 997 part number rather than 996.

Hey Rick,
Word is that they're less prone to cracking -
https://rennlist.com/forums/996-turb...oil-packs.html

Got em from Kevin@UMW. Shipped real quick, packaged nicely, and included new hardware (the stuff I took out looked like it'd already made it 2 rounds)

The very latest OEM Beru coils are oversized and much less prone to cracking. The previous generation Beru standard sized 997 coils heat cracked at almost the same rate as the 996 version.

Bosch makes a coil that is the same smaller size as the original smaller Berus but the Bosch coils do not seem to have any heat cracking problems.

Did you have trouble fitting the new oversized coils? Some folks are having issues.

Installed the Function First center console riser kit. I love the feel of the shifter being higher up, and now the aluminum look and metropole blue console is a lot more visible. The height is perfect for my elbow and it gives you more of a snug cockpit like feel.

Oh yes, so much fun! The neighbors think I have lost my mind.

My intentions are to participate in as many track days as possible

as chrisc10 just noted the only coils are now superseded 997 part numbers bosch or beru are virtually the same. i use the beru. same with plugs. use gt2 plugs. they no longer suggest a "5" range spark plug which was OEM fitment when new. the hotter "6" plug better suits the car tuned or not.
