Ok, I was thinking the same, perhaps rear diff temp....

Yes, there is most certainly a very different mentality between the two groups.

The reason for this appreciation is born from a problem I am trying to solve with the Subaru over on NASIOC, where I was once very active when building the car some twenty years ago.

An odd situation, car goes lean, no codes, corrects itself, egts drop - should (at least I'd think so) be a pretty straight forward issue with guys that are essentially running the same powerplant over the last twenty years.... As of this am, a couple hundred people have looked at the post, but not a single comment, constructive, or otherwise.

The differences between these two communities is as different as night and day.

So, again, my thanks to you all in however form you have aided myself, or others, it is much appreciated; selfless contributions to those in need is the mark of a good person.

I knew there was a reason I'd never buy another Subaru...
This is why and one of the reasons I didn't buy an Evo 8/9 ..EvolutionM is dead and the same crowd that is on NASIOC aged out or got out of it entirely.

I really like Palmer... it's very difficult and there is absolutely no run off anywhere. I turned a 1:57 in my VW there but haven't cracked 2:00 in the 911 because it's scary. I have seen more crashes there than everywhere else combined.
Who are you running with? SCDA? NASA?

Do they require proof of welded coolant lines?

I put about 3000 miles on my TT over the course of a week or so drving from New Jersey to to Gulf Shores then to Panama City, Florida and Clearwater afterward. No issues but did ding up the front lip and the front bumper is a bit peppered now but its going to get repainted/replaced this winter.

I washed it today and started waxing the nose, will try to finish off the rest of the car this week as I won't be driving it much if at all.

I gave mine a deep clean this weekend which I haven't done for awhile. Haven't had a chance to drive it again yet though, probably tomorrow.

I'm going on 11/16 and 11/17 with SCDA. I like running with Elivan's group. I have never been asked about welded/pinned lines by any group I have run with, although I have welded lines on both cars. I think PCA might be the only group that asks.

Nice road trip BTW, I haven't done a long road trip in many years.

I do at least one big one a year, so relaxing to drive on the open road with less idiots than in the city.

Good to know, SCDA is more pricey than other groups but more professional.

Is one of your Vr6s red by any chance? I vaguely remember pitting next to someone @ Thompson like 6 years ago and chatting with him but not sure if it was you.

The TT is a good short road trip car..I usually bring a big tote with all my stuff in it and I had to use a smaller one and a suitcase that fit "just right" in the frunk but I managed. I have some ideas for next time!

I did one in July in my dc2 and gambled with the TT this time and it turned out okay! Was kinda nervous about the other coolant lines but threw caution into the wind. There were some parts of Alabama where the coolant temps were risin' sitting in traffic but had no issues.

Summore'

I managed to get 20.8 MPG. Hoping when I go ID1300s and alpha-N density tuning I can maintain or exceed this

Your door panels are in better shape than mine; mine are marred by dog imprints.

Great pics and videos everyone.

Also glad to have an actual in use forum. I can't stand facebook. A real shame so many forums have died.

It was owned by a doctor at one point and from what I can see was just a weekend car for others.

Yes, I used to run my red VR6 Corrado with a Vortech blower on the track, that car dyno'd 240WHP. I started with that car about 10-12 years ago. It's wildly fun, the usable top speed is 122 MPH @ 7200 rpm in 4th. It was fine at Thompson and Palmer, but it's kinda slow for Lime Rock.
