What did you do to your 996TT today?

I look at it as I work in my son an I's new hobby....karts.
Installed the Cantrell 60A transmission mount. Could feel the difference immediately, best way to describe it would be it tightens everything up by 25%. I'm guessing some may not like this, really depends on what you are trying to achieve. My car is not a daily driver, so I'm happy with it. I did the Rennline engine mounts with the 65A (street) insert 3-4 months ago, I didn't feel a huge change with just these installed. Cantrell solution does appear to be well made, will see how they hold up over time.
Installed the Function First SRS with a 997 Stock shifter. Thanks @GC996 for the sweet deal. Much better feel and precise shifting without being too notchy. Questions about replacing brake pads and rotors. What other hardware should I replace like bolts?

I flew up and over a very large tarantula spider today and did not see bits in my rearview, but have not yet checked my front inlet screens OR my turbo inlets for furry legs. Big spider.
Race Car
I went down to NJMP Thunderbolt last week with my buddy Chad. It's a bit of a ride, the round trip was 730 miles. Cayenne got 14mpg with the trailer which is quire respectable, considering I was drafting Chad most of the way . We ran with Sam Yau's group called TrackXperienz and there was much heavy hardware: 992 GT2RS, multiple 992 GT3RS, multiple McLaren. Was a good time, my first time at this track. I ran 55 laps in 6 sessions plus open track time at the end. Aaron @De Jeeper sent me a video from a session he ran last year which was really helpful and playing lead-follow with Chad in his Mustang was even better.
Loaded up.
At the track.
Man this track is awesome compared to the tracks we have up here. I was able to use all the curbing that I wanted to, surely the Moton dampers were a big part of this. The car just cruised right over the gnarly looking curbs with the only noticeable change the sound from the tires. I never got ice mode from the ABS, it's scary when that happens and it happens a lot on our local tracks. If only it wasn't so darn far away!
I was not able to run my Track Addict datalogger because it was suction cupped to the windshield, this seems like it was a no-no although lots of other people were using similar suction cup mounts. The safety inspections are run by the New Jersey State Police at this track. Instead I have a video from my Catalyst which is bolted to the dash.

Most respectable mpg.
Burning Brakes
Thunderbolt is a fun track, I've kept many faster cars honest in the DC2 on there
Lightning would be more fun in a TT as its more of a horsepower track.
If Palmer raceway actually had some run off it'd be an awesome track..to me that place is where you go if you want to BIN a car!

Just a quick word to thank you guys for all your help over the years, the 996t community is pretty awesome, and you folks have assisted me sort out some minor and major problems, made some friends and built huge confidence in the platform.
The reason for this appreciation is born from a problem I am trying to solve with the Subaru over on NASIOC, where I was once very active when building the car some twenty years ago.
An odd situation, car goes lean, no codes, corrects itself, egts drop - should (at least I'd think so) be a pretty straight forward issue with guys that are essentially running the same powerplant over the last twenty years.... As of this am, a couple hundred people have looked at the post, but not a single comment, constructive, or otherwise.
The differences between these two communities is as different as night and day.
So, again, my thanks to you all in however form you have aided myself, or others, it is much appreciated; selfless contributions to those in need is the mark of a good person.
I knew there was a reason I'd never buy another Subaru...

Yes, a little transceiver plumbed into the rail feed. The car is heavily modified with a built motor, and still has the pre green Cobb tune on it. Wide band was added to the back of the turbo when it was converted to mafless.

I really like Palmer... it's very difficult and there is absolutely no run off anywhere. I turned a 1:57 in my VW there but haven't cracked 2:00 in the 911 because it's scary. I have seen more crashes there than everywhere else combined.

I try to be as helpful as possible here, same as I am/was on vwvortex. An advantage, if you can call it that, of driving $hitboxes is that I haved fixed a lot of wacky stuff myself.
