For the record: I think BMW sedans are shockingly capable. I am also sick to death of seeing them (no offense) - every other freaking car in LA is a BMW, swear to you. Also, 99% of BMW drivers, 99% of Porsche drivers... never drive their cars near the limit. This is a good thing for public safety.

Also, I think people who build/re-build/modify cars are all worthy of a little admiration, whether the car is a 12 year old Saab, or a brand new Ruf. I've seen amazing automobiles that cost very little, and I've seen ones that cost a lot. Also, I've met jerks and nice guys at all price levels. Not every tanned guy in a 360 Convertible is a schmuk, and not every guy in a Ford Lightning is a wannbe.

Here's what is funny. The people arguing on this board all love cars, period. I've met some of them, haven't met others. But as much as you are all ready to rip each other's throats out, truth is if you met somewhere and didn't announce your board names, chances are just as good you would get along as you wouldn't.

I've met Wilber - nicest guy you'd know. I've seen Hamann7 drive - he's fast. In fact, it was annoying he was that fast.I haven't seen some of the gentlemen he's arguing with drive, but I bet they are fast too. And I've made a few jokes that some of you might have taken the wrong way like George or Carlos, but I bet they're good guys too. Somewhere along the way this thread went from competitive to just plain weird. And if this arguing lead to a cool race somewhere, great. But if it is going to turn into a kick your ***, kinda thing, then forget it. I'm guilty of enjoying this thread, so I take my share of responsibility. But I suggest everyone just agree to disagee, go out and drive your cars.

All you 951/964 guys, I don't really hate your cars or anything. I may not like the way it looks necessarily, but everyone is entitled to their taste. But you guys left me no choice when you started getting on my case, and for what? Actually, I've complimented many 944 owners on their cars and I think they perform well on the track considering the money. Hell, I would root for a 944 to win over a Chevy Vette Z06.

My uncle even has a 964 C4 cab *gasp* My initial comment was directed at Christer, not necessarily all of the 964 guys.

And I even though I can't understand Carlos, I actually like the 928, especially the GTS and GT, which I've driven for an extended period of time.

So really, "can't we all just get along?" And since I quoted a famous black guy, George should be happy about this too...

Manny02c4S: I will say this about the swamp monster being what you say it is. I have not met my match yet in the 1/ 4mile, 1.8 mile pca road coarse or high speed 50mph to 180mph. I have taken many 996tt's and 993tt's money and sent them running to andial and powerhaus asking what happen and how much it cost for more hp. Now before you go running your jaws I don't like road coarse racing, due to its a pain in the *** to get my car ready for a road coarse racing. The swamp monster is a street race car thats a everyday driver. I drive it on the street thru the freeway turns whatever I'm bout it call it what you want. But until I'm handed my *** by a porsche powered whatever, its still the TURBO KILLA. BTW: Don't throw salt on me because of my race, do something about it. Talk is cheap and its free having some grapefruits and being real is true, you need to show me. What you need to do is go over to the 928 board and talk your noise over their you might have a chance with your 4 wheel drive sled. I would be careful Manny of the late model 928's If I was you I would stay with the 78's thru 82 models.
