No, I just want CarPlay and a good responsive display.

Let me know how it goes. I can help you with wiring if it is just a HiFi, but not MOST.

Yeah, the Sodacom looks to fit very well without need for anything else to mount it. The Ekiy I got was about half the price of the Sodacom with same features $200 vs $400 but the Ekiy doesn’t fit the Scosche or Metra, so it looks like I’ll get the Sodacom with 360 camera and tpms. Thanks for the feedback.

I just finished it in my 996.2 Targa

well fitting is not super great as there are 2mm on each side space where you need to find creative ways keeping the unit stable in the frame.
als Cables and Wiring of the MOST was not super hard but required some pictues i attach here that helped.

Thomas, your unit looks to be very similar to the unit I have from Ekiy and you noted it didn’t fit great.

Did you use the Scosche, Metra or something else to mount the unit?

Thanks

Hey

i used the original frame from Porsche.
The unit is way shorter than the original one so that you do have a lot of space behind it to store alle wiring.
Non the less to not make it slipping out of the frame i simply added left an eight two metal blades 2mm thick that do hold it in the frame. These metal blades are mounted to the unit instead of the original thin ones that keep usually the unit in the frame.

90 min ago i dismounted everything. Damn as it would habe been easy to take a picture but sadly i just read the thread a minute ago :-(

Who in here has upgraded their alternator? I’m thinking of going to a 240 amp unit. Any disadvantages here? If you did, what unit did you go with?

Why do you want/need to increase amp capacity...? plenty amps on hand for any stereo

My stereo is far from stock. I can watch my amperage drop below 11v if I have the volume even moderately high. But if I’m doing preventative maintenance (which this is at this current time) I may as well upgrade if I’m replacing it.

Thomas,
Thanks for the feedback.
I guess yours is bigger than mine.
Without the Metra kit I have now, the Ekiy is much smaller than the factory opening.
The Metra works very well for the Boss double din I have in there now and it looks very good. It's just a little too small for the EKIY.

I want ahead and ordered the Sadocom Porsche specific unit that doesn’t need any mounting or faceplate adapter.

Has anyone used this or a similar pioneer model? How does the screen brightness / glare look in the car?

For those that want to tinker a little more with the Aliexpress Android head unit, the factory password is '3368'
