Did you do the Internal or External TPMS kit? Don't mind having it but not enthusiastic about taking it to my tire shop and then having to figure out what the sensors are in 5 years when one goes bad.

I got both. Mounted external for now.

Mine went in the car today with a local mobile fitter. Early signs aren't great, the fitment is poor. There are gaps around all 4 sides and where the installer mounted it, its held in by 2 bolts so it pivots up and down as well as slightly side to side. I'm going to pull it out later and have a proper look to see how I can fix that. I think it needs to go back further into the console which will help. The installer said there was no fibre optic system in mine even with it being a Gen2 C4S. I thought all Gen2 Bose were the MOST systems? Something definitely isn't quite right as the volume gains massively for small steps up in the volume dial. There's also no apparent connection to the Bose subwoofer. I wonder if its wired incorrectly (he probably just went off of where the old Alpine unit was) as that had the same problem. I've seen on here that if you have the wrong output from the HU connected to the input to the amp you actually have amplified signals going to the amp rather than pre-amp signals. Any thoughts on that? And finally, while my car has a reverse camera, it was an Alpine specific camera so it couldn't be reused . I've ordered one from eBay to install, at least I can use the existing wire to pull the new one through.

MOST started with ‘03 models, so you’re lucky in that regard.

Thanks to the folks on here blazing the way forward. I bought the seidocom unit on Ali express and got the most adapter and cameras at same time. Install was pretty straight forward per all the instructions here. I installed it in my 04’ 996 turbo and concur with most here. Verbal unit looks and works great. Super visible on bright sunlight and very fast and responsive. I mainly use CarPlay but have expanded things a bit and adding additional apps and such for the android side. The wiring tips and tapping off the phone setup in the center console was key to getting it working. Like others I still can’t make the canbus portion work however I am working with the seller to see if we can fix that.

Note the shims on each side to make it fit properly. I’m tinkering with some options to close the gaps and make it look cleaner.

I want to get the Blaupunkt Frankfurt. Seems like a good fit for classic look with some modern features

I've never been a fan of Blaupunkt sound quality, but they make the best looking radios by far in my opinion. Most of their models look amazing, just a matter of picking what fits best based upon vintage.

Most of the other major audio brands have displays/designs that looks like 4th of July fireworks -- not an ounce of subtlety or refined design in any of them.

i would use a separate amp and other items so sound quality shouldn't be an issue..

I put a Blaupunkt Frankfurt RCM (modern version with Bluetooth, etc) in my 930 several months ago and I've been quite happy with it. The quality level of it definitely seems several notches above other 'modern' Blaupunkt head units. The price is also several notches above as well, but IMHO a perfect middle ground between something like the VDO/Continental head unit and the Porsche Classic PCCM if you want a 1Din head unit with modern features...

Anyone that gets the Aliexpress Android and does not have Bose or MOST, I can help with wiring.
Hello

I have exactly the same issue. Do you have by any chance, photos of the loc installation?

Thanks a lot.

You will not use the AV cables that come with the kit. You will wire the the speaker wires from the Android power plug straight to the LOC (from pins 9 - 16). You 'll have to get female AV plugs and splice into those so you can plug into the LOC. Use a non-powered LOC, like I did. I bought the Soundstage 4 channel LOC. From the output side of the LOC you will wire the the speakers to the C1 plug. Everything else will be wired as described earlier in the thread.

Thanks for your detailled answer.

The only 4 channels loc i found have a 12V, a ground and a remote input, do i have to link them (the soundstage seems the same)?

Thanks a lot.
