stopped in my indy this morning on the way to work... a little BS'ing and I noticed a 996 motor all torn apart on the table...

he is going to Jakes class soon and will be using LME's new case and ect on this build. We pointed out some of the things in the motor and I was excited to hear they have been offering the LME IMS upgrade for a while and have done several already...

Couple things that caught my eye were how ugly the piston tops were... he said that the car was a Tip and they dont see as high of RPM as often which "could" be the cause of that. I would suggest to everyone, get your RPM's up at least once in a while......

also talked about the cam chain guides and had a good bit of discussion about that job. I might yet one day tackle that one. For those of you that dont stop off at your local shop and shoot the breeze a little...this can be a great way to get to see the things we often discuss on this board...

A couple of early 20s chicks asked me for my number on my way back home from work stopped at a light in the downtown area.

Gold diggers.

The driver side window on my M3 stopped rolling down a couple of months ago and my window tag has been flaky w/ getting me in the parking garage at work (I hate to be that guy at the parking garage) so I've been daily driving the Turbo. I've got a new window motor and regulator for the BMW, but I've been too lazy and playing too much MW2 to do anything automotive related.

Well, the poor Turbo has had to endure rain last week and it will get wet again this week. I'm in a state of shock right now. I think I'm going to go to Twin Peaks tonight and watch the bikini contest to take my mind off the Turbo.

Be careful, it's scam!

Over the last month I became a victim of a clever scam while out shopping. Simply going out to get supplies has turned out to be quite traumatic. Don't be naive enough to think it couldn't happen to you or your friends. Here's how the scam works:

Two seriously good-looking 20-21 year-old girls come over to your car as you are packing your shopping into the trunk. They both start wiping your windshield with a rag and Windex, with their breasts almost falling out of their skimpy T-shirts.

It is impossible not to look.

When you thank them and offer them a tip, they say 'No' and instead ask you for a ride to McDonalds.

You agree and they get into the back seat. On the way, they start undressing. Then one of them climbs over into the front seat and starts crawling all over you, while the other one steals your wallet.

I had my wallet stolen January 4th, 9th, 10th, twice on the 15th, 17th, 20th, 24th & 29th. Also February 1st & 4th, Twice on the 8th, 16th, 23rd, 26th & 30th, three times last Monday and very likely again this upcoming
weekend.

So tell your friends to be careful.

P.S. Wal-Mart has wallets on sale for 2.99 each. I found cheaper ones for $1.99 at K-Mart and bought them out. Also, you never will get to eat at McDonalds. I've already lost 11 pounds just running back and forth to Home Depot.

(yesterday)

We decided to go to this little pizza place about an hours drive away (well worth the drive IMO) - my wife normally doesnt like the p-car, but I asked.... which car? and she said....we can take it

So the kids squeeze in the back and she gets in - OOOPS !! Sorry hunny!!! I forgot you dont know how to sit in it!! (shoot she sat her cute little fanny right on the edge of the seat....OUCH !!)

OK - drive normal.... wait, drive "wife in car normal"

enough of this, I have to run the horses.... she gives me the "be safe" talk

It was a nice day, we had a good drive (in traffic) and a great lunch... return home and for the second time today I get to watch her struggle to get her cute little a$$ out of the seat.....

Took the kids to thier freinds house right away!!!

For anyone wondering if they should get better seats..... the answer is HELL YES!

Geez Ed, you have to get your wife involved w/ your driving and perhaps she'll be less apprehensive about it! I always tell my g/f to let me know if she sees any cops around and it becomes a challenge/game for her.

But ever since I got her that dang B&N Nook, she's been reading it while I do the driving (i.e. get your wife something to distract her from your driving).

LOL

My wife gets dizzy in the car - the road noise, bumps, and general feeling of being low to the ground make her feel sick.

My "driving" isn't the issue

I tried for 2 years to get her "interested" and discovered its not HER dream and it means nothing to her. The occational 1 hour ride is all she wants out of it AND it better not be a very spirited ride

Still, she understands and let's me have my fun.

(PS when she gets dizzy she is easy prey )

I will bring this thread back with a not so nice story from last weekend...

Was getting Coffee in the 996 and as I was getting into my car there was a 9-10 year old boy getting out of his Dad's 90's or so LeBaron convertible.

Kid looks at me a with a smile says, Sir, that is a really nice Porsche, he even pronounced Porsche with 2 syllables. I said Thank you very much and than his father grunts and says "Ferrari's are better"

I just moved on.. I guess Captain insecure has a few issues but at least it seems his kid is respectful
and well mannered.
