if my mom is around you are going to have the best Arroz con gandules you ever had in your life. Sadly to say I’m down over $$150k this week in the stock market. Look at my celebration medicines. My mom told me I was messed up, I drink if I loose, I drink to celebrate. I told her that’s how I cope with life, same way she goes to church every day. 🤣 🤣 😝
Found me a bottle of Buffalo trace the flavor bomb, time to make some kind of custom bbq sauce.
Florida is great, this doesn’t happen in Texas you go get your meds, then you buy your real liquid medicine, available on Sundays.
Awesome liquor store at Walgreens.
If I get stop by the cops, i just tell them I’m drinking the rest of my Coke Zero after my double meat triple cheeseburger at Hardee’s.

In Florida, back in the 70's you could get draft beer to go as well as liquor and cigarettes tax free at drive-through stands on what were then called "Indian Reservations".

My mom makes her own sofrito.
I'm fortunate enough to have both my mom who emigrated to Miami in 1978 and my Grandma who still lives on the island, I have a lot of their prepared food. My grandma who's almost completely blind picks gandules from a bush when she prepares it for me, all my aunts still cook and are amazing. I would've loved to have tried your mom's cooking though. My girlfriend is part Cuban through her mom and Puerto Rican on the dad's side, both sets of grand parents were born in their respective countries. Being native to Miami, she does more of the Cuban style cuisine until we started dating. Now she does both and she taught herself to do Arroz con gandules like my mom does it... mind you my mom doesn't use a written recipe so she figured it out by taste. Only thing that cracks me up is when she asked me what the "green stuff" was during prep, Cubans use a red Sofrito while we use a green one... so similar but very different at the same time.

i saw some Dominicans taking whole pigs in the plane because they where going to New York to spend Christmas with the family. Then again when they opened the airport in Santiago in the Dominican Republic this lady had a live young pig on a suitcase. When my mom comes here she brings all kinds of things because she says she can’t find them here. Now I need to go hunt for Yautia because she wants to make Cuban style black beans.

my mom makes her own sofrito and it has tomato sauce so it’s read. The other thing she puts a lot of meat in it. She made me chop half a rack of St. Louis ribs to put there in the rice. She says that if It doesn’t have enough meat, “está ciego”, my dad used to say the same thing about pasteles. This a bunch of people are not going to

This trip has been extremely interesting
had the money cash they would sell to you. Anyway tonight I cooked ribeyes we made salad and rice and red kidney beans. I decide to get out, go to a heavy biker bar, someone gets drunk over served and drives his truck thru the office while I’m inside the bar, sounded like a bomb, then I got the hell out of there and found another Florida gem,
Someone is going to be invited to the officers work of place.
It sounded like a bomb 💣 inside the bar.
Half a mile down the road i find another Florida’s gem.

Dover , DE air show. Thurderbirds, blue angles and a b2 were tge highlights. My cell phone pics didnt really do it for high speed flight. I did get ti park the pete and jeep on the tarmac because we were invited to have a booth as a non-profit.

Ask and u will recieve.
They had a hairer jump jet "dancing" 100' off the deck. it was amazing.
Oh and the private b25, u think it had 11, 50cal machine guns. One of the most frightening things i have ever seen.

I remember the first time I saw a F22 at Nellis AFB back in 2005 or so... such a crazy thing to see. The vectored engine loop vs a regular loop is probably one of the most memorable thing I've witnessed. Freaking amazing.

The F35 is a baby F22 and sadly they stopped making the F22 in favor of the global F35 that can be exported. The F22 on the other hand can not and is still our air superiority platform. I've yet to see a F35 in any variation but they look pretty damn cool.

Finally back from a lengthy vacation to Greece followed by a work trip to Vegas so cue a bunch of photos. Greece was friggin amazing - go if you haven't. Country, people and food was all top notch. Below are some of my favorite photos. Stay included Athens, Nafplio and Mykonos for a friends wedding. Also had a chance to spend some time behind a slowest car I ever drove, Peugeot 206 (3 cyl, 1.2L and 75hp) and the fastest, C8 Corvette, while in Vegas. Let's just say I was glad to get behind the wheel of my 996!
