yes they’ll raise rates today. But I’m almost certain the dot plot and Powell comments are going to forecast more rate hikes to come. The fed is almost going to have to induce a recession to get the inflation under control. I don’t think it’ll be as bad as 2008, but there’s more pain to come.

Doing my regular Craigslist trolling and I ran across this one-owner, what looks like early build 99 (based on the interior pieces) in Vesuvio Metallic (dealer calls it gray). Seems like a decent price

for whoever wants to buy a car this dealership has 44 porsches. There is another 99 with 110k miles ton of service records, $20k. There are a lot of smaller dealerships where you can still probably get a decent deal. I have never seen vesuvio in person. That car seems nice. One owner and all services at Porsche dealerships is not a bad thing at all. Buy the car if you like the color and it’s rare as they say it is. If it was lapis or cobalt with a grey or black interior I would be all over it.

I saw it tested it Saturday, I also drove my turbo because since the guy is a dealer I wanted maybe the possibility of him taking my car in a trade. I spent quite a while there car probably looked and ran a lot better than we you saw it. Based on what I saw that he did with the car he probably put $50-60k in the car. Anyway my number all in was going to be $125 (so $120 plus $5 bat fee). He never came back to me on what he would credit for my car. He has a Ferrari and a couple of other cars that he will be bringing on bat. Everyone of the cars that I looked at seemed well taken care off. The high bidder was another local guy from there in Austin, he also tested the car earlier this week. Since he’s new in the game but he’s going to do this full time as he sold his business, based on the type of cars and what he was expecting I suggested for him to use pcarmarket with the deal tank extension so at least he could get more time to showcase the cars and negotiate. This car buying and selling business is not as easy as it seems, I did restoration buying and selling of euro spec Mercedes and bimmers and it wasn’t an easy business. I never lost money but a lot of cars sat longer than what I wanted and I also had to negotiate offer some future free maintenance and even basically lease some cars. My business partner, finished screwing me, stole some of my tools and even dropped a niece 745i that we had done for his father in law, left it in in front of my house with a busted passenger side window, at least I got the car back. The guy had paid us back half of the loan amount but he put 15,000 miles on the car. At least I kept busy for two plus years doing something that I loved and enjoy.

Historic green sales on BAT
I think if you look at green 996 sales on BAT - they consistently do around 38k.
for those of us who have tried to buy a 996 in the past 3 years good luck finding
a good car that’s a coupe , stick and is not silver or black.
and then the premium is not so much of a premium any longer.
