Prices Keep Drifting Up

Not exactly true unless the car falls into the category of a garage queen. It looks like the owner didn't even complete the full break-in, based on mileage. Someone could ask when the rebuild was completed. From the description: " The engine build was completed within the last 5k miles and Flat 6 Innovations recommends a break-in period of 7,500 miles."
Carfax shows it was purchased Feb. 2020 by the current owner as I read it. Not sure when the 4.0 was done but with Jake's back log something doesn't compute to me. That said, a 997.1 S with 4.0L manual would be a blast to drive. Taking all my self control not to bid on this one.

Can I chime in?
Guys, I own the car. While I appreciate the various thoughts about it on this forum, the truth is, while I love the car and think about pulling it from the auction, theres a very simple reason why I’m selling. I have daughters that are now driving and I recently purchased both of them new jeeps. Space is limited as I also have a company car and a big Ram truck as well. My buddy that turned me on to F6I as he had an engine from there and raved about it. I drove it and it was as advertised. I bought my car then basically immediately sent it in as well for the F6 engine. Money was not a factor in this. I wanted to keep it for a very long time. I keep the Porsche in the garage. I have to move two vehicles every damn time I want to drive it, not to mention when I do I got stung by a very large speeding ticket. The car is amazing no doubt. If I recall it made 410 HP at the flywheel. I did set the reserve fairly high because if it doesn’t sell I’m going to keep it. When my girls go to college in three years I’ll throw many more miles on it no doubt. If it sells I’ll simply buy another in three years. I’m sure there will be some questions and I’ll get back to them but right now am in CA at a business meeting and won’t be glued to this thread although when I can I’ll chime back in. The car is amazing though. Thx.

Well, there you have it. No more reason to speculate.
Thanks Rofu.
I am happy to hear that you have a reserve that YOU feel is appropriate for the car.
OH, and as a dad and now grandpa, I just want you to know that having kids who just recently acquired driver's license is only the beginning! Lol You will never have enough parking spots ever again.

Good buy on that yellow aerokit. Lack of rear spats must have kept the high bid down by at least $10,000.

I did not know the Boxster and 996 headlamps were actually different. Anyone have a pic side by side ?
