Good for prices. Most knuckleheads have sold. And I say knucklehead with all due love and respect to all that sold. 😁

Def a mass exodus there for a while, but can't blame folks for cashing out on the first wave back up. Lot's have stuck out years of malignant misinformation & falsely depressed prices with 996. I vividly remember being ridiculed in my "fake 911" 1989 C4 too! Laughed la$t on that (Mezger) also.

My comment was an ill attempt at humor. Apologies to those that take offense. 😇

BUT, there has never been a better time to maintain ownership in a 996. We are not only experiencing a renaissance in demand and prices, but more parts replacement solutions exist with more on the way for your 20 year old classic. What's not to love about the car.

Highest mileage 911 I ever bought was a 964 w/189K. Drove it like a maniac for two straight years and traded it in (on another 964) for more than I paid. Leaked oil though. Took a 1999 to almost 150K miles also. A CEL occasionally but drove like new.

I love that PCCM only works with air cooled and 996. Nothing newer is compatible.

I think there might be an asterisk after “works” for 996.1

I'd have a PCCM in my '99 if it were that easy.

I know thats what Porsche says officially, however I’ve read a few posts now where guys have installed PCCM in MKI without issue.

I saw it and put it to work on a 2001 convertible rwd. Ok but not worth $1500 plus whatever install extra it cost. Factory radio with IPhone on passenger seat works just fine for me.
