Installation guide of the PCCM Plus

Hey guys, I have a 2003 Turbo with factory PCM 2.0 - I’m not sure of the terms entirely but I believe I have MOST? I have a CD changer and Bose. My shop just installed the PCCM+ in my car. I haven’t picked it up yet but they are saying that the PCCM does not turn off with the ignition switch. In other words, they remove the key, the radio stays on. They also turned off the “Standby” feature that keeps the radio on for a bit after ignition off. This doesn’t help.
Any thoughts? Many thanks in advance.

Standby doesn't keep the unit ON with the key out, it only keeps the PCCM processor in sleep mode so it doesn't go into full restart if the vehicle has only been off for less than 5,10 or 30 mins...useful when you're running around doing short errands and don't want to wait for the whole startup sequence just to listen to the radio every time you hop in and out of the car.
My guess is either your ignition switch is faulty (happens) or your shop messed something up.

That shouldn't be happening if they did the install correctly. Yes, your 2003 has MOST and as per my previous post, it's really plug and play with MOST equipped cars.

The version shown on the infamous UK install video on YouTube did not have that extra connector...very interesting.

Over in Europe, there is a solution, and people have this issue resolved. See this thread:http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=144822

Here is a photo of the OS and other module levels for the software “fix.” from a member in London. The OS is the same level as mine, but the AP is different. I am not sure that the AP is the code that fixes the problem. I think MCU designates country/continent specific location.
