I haven’t picked it up yet but they are saying that the PCCM does not turn off with the ignition switch. In other words, they remove the key, the radio stays on. They also turned off the “Standby” feature that keeps the radio on for a bit after ignition off. This doesn’t help.

Any thoughts? Many thanks in advance.
That shouldn't be happening if they did the install correctly. Yes, your 2003 has MOST and as per my previous post, it's really plug and play with MOST equipped cars.

Standby doesn't keep the unit ON with the key out, it only keeps the PCCM processor in sleep mode so it doesn't go into full restart if the vehicle has only been off for less than 5,10 or 30 mins...useful when you're running around doing short errands and don't want to wait for the whole startup sequence just to listen to the radio every time you hop in and out of the car.
My guess is either your ignition switch is faulty (happens) or your shop messed something up.

We were able to fix this by disconnecting all of the connectors in the back from the radio and then reconnecting all of them. Now works perfectly.

The far left white connections. I have never seen two.

Is there a Porsche PN on the box that has the USB ports and 3.5mm jack?

The version shown on the infamous UK install video on YouTube did not have that extra connector...very interesting.

I believe that particular car was not a MY2003 and >. The yellow plug contains signaling for the CAN bus.

Can someone provide a clear shot of the label on the bottom of the USB and input box?

Yep, started to happen with mine as well, took a few hundred miles, but then started to reset the counter every now and then.

I will check my OS version tomorrow. Did you install the PCCM? Have you reached-out to your local Porsche dealer for assistance? My local dealer is Sunset Porsche. I spoke to the shop foreman a couple of months ago, he said other customers have this issue, but so far no software update are in the works that he is aware of.

Over in Europe, there is a solution, and people have this issue resolved. See this thread:http://911uk.com/viewtopic.php?t=144822

I also struck out with local Porsche (Rocklin) on a firmware upgrade. They insisted there isn't an approved firmware upgrade available in US. smh.

It looks like we have the same OS firmware level. I purchased my PCCM in September 2020. When did you purchase yours? I am going to ask the guys that have upgraded what their OS version they are running.

Here is a photo of the OS and other module levels for the software “fix.” from a member in London. The OS is the same level as mine, but the AP is different. I am not sure that the AP is the code that fixes the problem. I think MCU designates country/continent specific location.
