Installation guide of the PCCM Plus
#226
@bobthejob sorry I didn’t explain that very well - I have the bridge at the CD player - I have been checking the light coming through when remove the bridge and then the outputs at the back of the pcm and pccm
on the pcm the fibre optic light is on constantly from the minute it is powered up - on the pccm it is flashing a cycle
as in attached

By all accounts an install on a MOST car with an original OEM stereo is pretty plug and play. BobTheJob mentions the CAN vs AMP setting in the PCCM+ and you didn't address it in your reply. That really needs to be confirmed before anything else.

Hi
yes the I have done the can / amp check - it should be can for my vehicle but I tried it on both anyway just to see - I thought maybe the amp was faulty but it I working fine with the original pcm 2

I'm in exactly the same situation, with a 2001 TT, PCM1, DSP - the PCCM+ works well....apart from a hum and over amplified audio.
I bought the connects2 cable, only to discover it's useless as my car only uses the black connector block - not the brown.
Hopefully you have some miracle solution by now?
Thanks!

If anyone could through further light on this please
so spoke to local Porsche - after taking my vin number they state I have option m680 - which I can see on my option list but fair enough
so I have to ground the m680 according to them - the instructions don’t state this only with pcm1 and dsp - and when I open up my amp connector I only have three cables attached
brown
red
red white
whwre would I ground in this or what would I take out anyone any ideas?
thanks

I have uploaded the PCCM+ installation guide. The procedure is on Page 9. Please note, the installation guide states that the pin 17 wire is black/red/yellow - however my car has white/green.
Also note the installation guide states to use a new wire from Porsche to make the ground connection. This isn't necessary as you can easily splice in a short piece of new wire.

My car is not MOST, not PCM, just M680 with a standard CDR220 radio. If you had M680 you would have a DSP control panel under the radio with a number of buttons on it, and there would be wires connected to pins 1, 8, 9, 17, and 18 of that 18-pin plug.

I’m sorry to ask this but if anyone has one of these with most could you pull the loop at the cd changer and see if the red optical light cycles on and off or stays on constantly - many thanks

Wireless android auto
Can anyone confirm that wireless android auto will or will not work with PCCM+, say with the Motorola MA1 unit. I have 02 996 Turbo. Works fine with wired connection.
