Got some junk ebay ***** for my CDR23 that were absolute trash and I need to send them back. Plastidip the old ones or just buy new OEM for $16 each?
If you have a 3D printer or know someone who does, you can print these. They're not 100% identical but they work on my CDR220 and look good. I'm guessing they are the same for the CDR23
Ok, so this is a small one. The directional indicators on the instrument cluster was "fast blinking", which of course suggests a burned out bulb, in this case the right front. Pulled the headlight for the first time, using the little 5mm wrench included in the tool roll. It was still there, as I suspected the previous owner took care of this car. Anyway, the headlight systems seems to be pretty good, impressed to see the blind mate connector housing all of the connections. I probably should have tested the headlight washer to make sure it is also connected, but then I have never even used or tested the headlight washers.

Interesting -- thank you for the message. I am being a bit stupid here and I think I will only be happy with OEM replacement or refurbishment. Gonna try cleaning up the rubber coating w some spirits and see if it can be smoothed out.

I used denatured alcohol to get rid of the soft touch a few years ago on my PCM 2. The ***** look fine afterwards and are not sticky. I need do do the Cayenne next.
Replaced a LED turn signal bulb that went bad after just a few hundred miles of driving.
And then drove it to a meet where I was the only 996 again.
I feel the same a bunch of times. Sunday we had a get together at Alara garage in Houston, this place garages over 500 cars that you can have access to your car 24/7, 365 days a year, climate control, on a tender . Cost $500 per month. They have a repair facility, detail tint ppf, they sell exotic cars, and are the Houston partner for bat. They have a wine cellar, they store and sell wine, they do the same with art. They have a second floor where you can have parties. Anyway I drove the 99 there they had some good pastries, both savory and sweet. It’s super cool having these older cars. A group of 4 of us met early in the morning and we drove as a group there was a 992, a 991.2, a997.2, I was driving at the side of all of them, looking at their Wing lift mechanism all of them do the same function but look completely different when driving by their side. As always had a blast. We went early so we wanted good parking spots. That Mexico blue 718 is currently in a bat auction. The white G is bulletproof it either belongs to a drug dealer or Obama hope and change. Great food, the pastries with sausage where awesome. Love that blue color. Suicide door Lincoln. I’ll go 5 percent tint and call it the pimp mobile. They have quite a few Ferraris for sale most of their cars are collectible grade, low mileage examples, prices resemble such, they had a Japanese 22b Subaru wrx yes steering wheel on the other side $350k.
I learned the hard way that the factory roof rack system for the 996 cabrio, also known as the roof transport system does not fit the wide body variants of the 996.
If anybody local to New Jersey is interested in this let me know. It’s a complete factory kit for 996 cabrio. If interested I would be more than happy to help it find a new home.

Mine got so bad they were like gumdrops. I could mold them into any shape. Very strange.
Fister mufflers installed (sounds so good) but the exhaust tips were not properly aligned by the shop. When I brought it back they told me they couldn't be adjusted blah blah… They just didn't want to deal with the rusted hardware etc. I decided to take care of the hardware in the tips, drilling out and replacing, and then ceramic coating the black centers. Turned out really good I think and the tips are now finally aligned properly
