I deleted the headlight washers which were broke.

1999 Porsche 911 Carrera, 6-sp, 53,000 miles, previously updated air box with K&N drop-in air filter, and HPC silicon air tube. Next fix broken center console cover, then air vent blowing foam.

Dug my car out of the garage yesterday and took it for the first drive since November or so. Just ordered an oil change kit so I will be doing that shortly. Always impressed by how well the Porsche drives after not driving it for a while. For a 20+-year-old car, it's held up remarkably well compared to other cars I've driven.

Turned out really good I think and the tips are now finally aligned properly

What paint did you use?

Now you'll run faster and jump higher. (Probably need to be a Boomer to get that reference)

Last week my 996.1 got treated to an oil change and bore scope through the sump. New sump baffle, oil and filter back together. Clean cylinder walls except a tiny wear air on cyl 6 floor as I guess to be expected.
This week she's got new top mounts, bearings etc on the front. Next week, OEM reservoir, pump, low temp Thermo and some new hardware and hoses. Then after Easter I'm heading on a 3k mile road trip. Someone suggested I rent a car for the trip, 'you don't want to do that in an old 911'. Rubbish. I'm not investing in the girl to leave her at home. Jeez... Some people don't get it I guess. I'll take some road photos.

Not sure if you're heading west, but I too am heading on a big trip. Leaving from Bluffton, SC to head to my new home in Hermosa Beach, CA. Plan is to leave this Sunday night and get there by next weekend. Going to spend a day or two in Phoenix/Scottsdale when I get there. I'll be going the "southern route" through Houston and the like. If you see an Arena Red with ambers and a Pennsylvania tag give me a wave!!!

That's a good trek. I've driven West to East and East to West a few times but this one is from NC to NS Canada and back after a few weeks. First real long road trip in this car. I've got my toll pass, but no radar yet. Not sure if it's worth the $. And it's so confusing with all the choices...

Very nice- north this time of year is going to be good. She’ll hold up!

You might want to look into Waze if you haven’t already. It’s a maps app where people report all sorts of stuff along your route - cops included and it’s usually pretty accurate.

then again ~95mph for me hovers around 4k - I like to keep it in the 3.2 range around 85 or so

I mounted the subwoofer box I made using mounts I drew up in Solidworks. The box doesn’t have single 90 degree bend which made mounting it tricky. I tied into the rear seat latch studs and 3D printed washers that are angled to match the offset. Twin 8” Memphis subs are perfect for such a small cabin!

as long as you are going to listen to ac/dc Boston or rush I dig that, if you are going to listen to rap go ahead and do an air suspension and put some wire wheels on, go to east LA with it.

Don’t be sound prejudice!!!
my old setup was more intense took it out and put in a slim line single box
but all music should be enjoyed as the owner likes
