I didn't know that factory spacers came with lugs, but I looked it up on Autoatlanta and the 17-MM Spacers used lug nuts. You learn something new every day.

I live in N.E. and while there are wash days, I like to put my 2000 996 ultra dry so I won't get another wash in before the cover goes on.

I’m in central Texas so it’s wash season year round!

Put on the hooker boots... er... snow tires.

Vredestein Wintrac Pro on Braid 17" wheels. No problem clearing the rotors and calipers on the C4s.

Winter's coming.

Not today, but over the past week I replaced the four O2 sensors. Then I got a misfire on cylinder 5 and since the car has 110K miles on it and I didn't have the best of luck getting a full service history I replaced all six coil packs and plugs.

Runs like a dream again.

curious- did you do a muffler exchange? how much did it cost to ship the mufflers?

I purchased a clean set of 3.6 mufflers locally then shipped them to Fister . Shipping was $65.00 from Georgia and I think it was $75.00 coming back .

Had the winter tires installed. Still amazed the 996 4s needs different, 18x10 winter rear rims. Such is the cost of winter driving enjoyment….

Changed to my all-seasons. After I did so and went for a test hop, I heard a rhythmic light scraping sound from right rear. After literally peeling the onion layers away troubleshooting, found one of the parking brake retaining springs broken and the shoe leaning at an angle. Hmmm.

Nothing else wrong, so I dial the dealer and they don’t have the part. Called Pelican, thinking west coast might be able to overnight the sucker. As usual, the Pelican parts folks were super helpful and got the part out ASAP. Less than 24 hours after finding the broken spring, the new spring was installed and car ready to go. Call John at x260 if you need stuff done. Some things at Pelican may not’ve changed for the better, but I’ve never found fault with the customer service.

I just wish they’d fix the website ‘update’ from not too long ago. The old one worked great, but new ownership probably needed to put their DNA on it.

replaced my ignition coils and spark plugs.

couldn't get my ape fingers in there without taking the mufflers off. So took the mufflers off.

is it bad to run these cars without the mufflers? kinda curious to start the thing up like this.
