Cleaned radiators
Yesterday I removed the bumper and cleaned the radiators. One side had five mud dauber cocoons that were impossible to completely clean...like cement! I don't think the rads had been cleaned in may years! I relocated the manual frunk release cable to under the passenger headlight for easy access. Today, it's all back together!

bbboomer67, I have a question. You mention, " I relocated the manual frunk release cable to under the passenger headlight for easy access. Today, it's all back together! " If you can't get in your frunk how do you get under your headlight to pull the cable? I am sure I am missing something. Thanks

Thanks, RazorKQ, I was in a hurry and obviously not thinking! I will remove the headlight and put the cable near the tow hook hole unless someone has a better idea!

If one plans to install the GT3 Cup lip on anything other than the Cup car, some modification will be required. As far as my research showed, folks seem to choose the Cup lip because it’s significantly cheaper than the GT3 lip (for whatever reason). I believe most of the fastener holes line up with the Carrera bumper, the exceptions being the end/side fasteners. I can’t rememver everything I read about it, but I did decide that I want to do it to my car at some point relatively soon. To answer your question specifically: the only bumper I have researched as to whether or not the GT3/Cup lip would fit was the Carrera bumper, which is indeed a narrow body, as I’m sure you’re well aware.
I cannot remember where I got these pictures, but they are not mine. The last picture shows the modification(s) he made to the lip to make it fit the Carrera bumper.

Three Wheelin'
Drove the bejeezuz out of it, up to Newcombs Ranch and beyond to 5,000ft elev. came across a guy in a new 3 series who hit a rock and bent his suspension. No cell service out here so gave him a ride back to civilization so he could call for a tow. Did my good deed for the day!

Drifting
Act like they bent an axle just so they can get a ride in a 996.
It gets old after a while ...

Well that is the one my dealer was going to sell me but they folded it in the box and it had a permanent deformity. Where are you located? I may give it a go. Pm sent.
