Hopefully, an actually reputable electronics company will adopt this form factor.
The lack of any reputable companies offering something in that form factor, and the Porsche PCCM single DIN unit only having 3.5" screen and no Android Auto, is what pushed me into a headless system. I have a marine BT receiver running thru an RLC (i.e. volume ****) to an equalizer under the passenger seat, and that is hooked up to the factory amp.
One screen is plenty. Repurposed an extra wiper controller into a volume ****.
I decided to do a brake fluid flush today after putting in new pads last week. I pulled the toolkit from my frunk and discovered that the wheel lock key was not there. Uh-oh. I look around the garage and driveway thinking I might have left it out. Not there. Then a horrible thought occurs to me. What if I left it on one of the wheels when I did the brake job? I've driven the car about 100 miles since then - side roads and highways. I checked the right rear wheel as that was the last wheel I put back on. Believe it or not, the key was still attached to one of the bolts.

Use some of your lotto winnings to buy four regular lug bolts so you can throw away those silly locking ones.

I think I will buy new bolts. These are not looking great and I'm tired of dealing with the locks. Another funny thing is when I went to buy lobsters and noticed that one of my credit cards was missing, I went to pick up a bottle of wine at my local liquor store and my card was there, Good day all around.

So all you have to do next time you work on the car is, skip the trip to the liquor store and you’ll be all good.

you need AirTags on everything .
Top tip
buy lug bolts from FCPEuro and return when they eventually get rusty looking.
Thanks brother. I really thought I missed the boat when I realized they hadn’t been available for some time by the time I got the Porsche. Really like the simplicity of the GT3 delete and it’ll be perfect once I get around to installing Yaz’s phone mount. Not Porsche related, currently ceramic coating some new rims for my Touareg T3.

My car has been sitting patiently in the garage while I was oversea's for the last two months.
The only thing I did before I left was put an extra 15lbs of air in the tires, made sure to put the wipers up and popped the frunk in case I experienced a battery failure. That's it. I got back this past Saturday, got up Sunday morning and fired her up. She came alive on the first turn of the key. She stumbled for just a second and then quickly went into a smooth fast idle. My wife, who was watching the exhaust, said everything looked good. The first drive since I put her up was perfect !
