Installed new motor mounts from PRG. Aside from two unscheduled side trips for an 18mm deep socket I somehow didn’t already have and longer bolts because the supplier accidentally supplied the wrong bits, this was a very easy and gratifying job. Hoping to do the transmission mount tomorrow or over the weekend at the latest.

Fait accomplis.

No, just cleaned them and laid down the vinyl. I really can’t see them staying yellow for long, and I should hopefully have more free time over the winter when the kids sports are all done (the jokes we tell ourselves!) to refinish them properly.

New wheel center caps. Arctic Silver cab with black top, so they match the car well. The old ones were plain silver.

And, yes, the crests all point toward the valve stems.

While @De Jeeper was setting personal bests on the 12 turn NJMP Thunderbolt track I was doing the same at their 10 turn Lightning course.
3.2 secs better than a year ago.

Got my personalized plates in. A little obscure, but dropped big clues on the plate frame.

Nice, I picked up the same ones on Etsy for about 1/3 as much as Porsche price. They look great.

Default Began my headlight cover project

Not finished with the project yet . . . but I’m in the process of painting and installing Variel headlight covers for my 996 to give them the 997 round headlight appearance.

Still tweaking the final color. I’ve got a unique Paint to Sample color to match.

The covers have not been installed on the car yet. They are just resting on top of the headlight lenses. They will sit flush once installed.
