Default I’ve been restoring tired, faded little details

Little things that have been driving me nuts since I bought the car almost 2 years ago. I repainted the rear bumperettes satin black. I also removed the Porsche crests from the wheel center caps and stripped them down in lacquer thinner to remove all the old paint and adhesive from the stamped aluminum crests. I scuffed them up a little with fine steel wool, wiped them down with alcohol and primed them. Then I used my airbrush to paint them gold. As a competition level model builder, sitting there for hours hand painting tiny details black and guards red didn’t bother me.

I’m very happy with the results!

Bought it this morning and am mid way through the 300 miles home. Best decision I’ve ever made!

Fait accomplis.
I've never seen that brand of engine mount. How are they? Do you have an engine vibration in the car between 3K to 4K rpms?

Took her back to AutoX for the last laps of the season. Great time with my local PCA friends (Rocky Mountain Region), including another Lapis 996 (over gray) and a Seal Gray over black.

Liveried for autocross.

Beautiful 930. Driver was shredding the course! Love to see valuable metal driven like she's intended.

On the grid.

How do you like those PLM seats? Did you get the fixed-back ones or reclining?
I’ve been eyeballing them myself vs their 996 GT3 knockoffs & getting a custom leather reupholster.

Quality good? Any flexing?
thanks!
