GC thanks for sharing. My cars going in this June for the UAOS with the drain back- Skip is sending it out my way as we speak. Finally doing a fresh DT-40 oil change next week and getting the car on the road- works been eating all my time. Did all of the same items you did this year- last year when my engine was dropped. Literally spaced out and missed the water pump- it is about 7.5 years old, so that’s also being done when my cars in this June. Glad to see your progress and a clean bill of health for your car!

I figured out how to get into the frunk...
... When the battery is disconnected, and you forgot it was, and clicked the frunk shut. There's plenty of posts on how to deal with it, but I have the easiest solution. Call GEICO roadside and catch up on some British GT. works a treat.
treat. Once that was sorted, I installed 15mm spacers on the rears and torqued the wheels back on with my new torque wrench. Nice. Still waiting for 7mm fronts. But I doubt anyone will notice.
I went for two drive this weekend just because I love the noise my new exhaust system makes. Headers, 200 cell xpipe cats and valved mufflers all by topgear UK. Sounds amazing, but man I'm glad I can turn them down. It's a must have imho. I have ordered O2 sensor extension things because I've already had CES with accompanying rough engine. Oh, and I added a quart of motul 1800 excess v2 or whatever it's called. My car definitely burns a bit of oil. A quart in 3 months of very light driving. After the summer I'm going to start getting serious about a new engine or rebuild. Just turned 96k miles. I agree with the other post I read today, if you can't budget for 12k plus engine work, don't own an old car, least of all a Porsche. You have to really love these things.
Oh and I also installed my dark red racing stripes x2 on black alcantara, padded, armrest cover. It's a glue on, and looks awesome. Got it from redline goods. A matching handbrake cover, minus the racing stripes but with red thread, is here but I have to remove the center console to properly install it. Ran out of time. But the effect of these small personalizations is pure joy. 22yr old interiors need sprucing up as much as the mechanicals do. 😊

If it were me, and I had a cup car front bumper, I'd install one of these:

Finished up the console delete. I had to dye the Boxster Red carpet (boy is that a bad shade). It is a little light still but unless I am in direct sunlight it is not too bothersome. More annoying was what to do with the seat heater switches. I spent a few hours unsuccessfully trying to pull them back up to the top console. Ended up making a hidden box under the plastic insert in front of the shifter. When I want to use it, I pop off the plastic insert. I am satisfied (for now).

Imagine Ipanema Blue Crossed with Ocean Jade. It's not close since Miami is more true blue. My wife says she says very little blue in Cool Turqoise, but my eyes see a lot of green pop.
I've got some sample cards, including Miami Blue. I'll post the side by side comparison today
