Got new Lloyd's floormats! Went crazy and ordered with the silver porsche script to match the door sills, white gauges and other silver accents. Pretty happy!

Mounted some new wheels on my c4
Thanks wahooz for keeping them in such good condition and don’t think I didn’t notice the Porsche crests all pointing to the valve.
also got nowhere on the restoration of my dads 912e but that’s just one mystery after another. But great working with him and my brother for the day and that’s what it’s about.

Just need to lower it a little.
I've had the 912E on my wish list for years, then found the 996 roller...Loving the cold AC!

Found a wheel lock key for my 2000 C4 Cab today. Hooray!!!!
Bought this car on 8/31/2019. Didn't realize that the car had wheel locks on them until a month ago. Was told Porsche dealers have all the wheel lock keys you need and that they could find a match. Not so. They only have keys for THEIR locks and the locks on my wheels were aftermarket of unknown origin.
Found a site that sells wheel locks and bought one that "should" have fit the 7 spline pattern on mine. Just received the keys and the do NOT fit because the locks on my wheels do not have evenly spaced splines -- they are offset with 4 splines on top, 3 splines on the bottom w/a gap on both sides. SH*T!!!
Was ready to just take it to my indie shop to have them drill out the locks out when, on a whim, I decided to stop at a local wheel shop and "low and behold" they had a key that matched!!! It was beat up but it FIT perfectly and bought it for $20 cash.
Problem solved, thank GOD!!!

Yeah, that was part of the plan but I'm not really interested in throwing another $2-3k at my new to me 996 for new wheels/tires this time.
It's taken about $3k to fix the various "minor" problems that came w/my Craigslist find for $15k and it's about as good as it can get for a 20 yr old car, except for the nice looking but heavy 19" wheels on it now. Only lighter wheels would make it better and I've still got my mind on buying a set of 18" OEM Turbo Twists and putting a set of Michelin Pilot 4Ss on them but that will have to wait for now.
Just relieved that I found a wheel lock key and don't have to worry about that anymore.
