I appreciate the kind words. I am not in the same league as some of the esteemed colleagues, but, I like to contribute if and when I can.
Thanks again,

Also, I forgot to credit where I originally saw the homemade slack tube manometer...a poster on Renntech did a very in depth DIY write up on it. I did not go nearly as all out with my assembly. I am pretty sure I have seen the same idea on Rennlist as well.
The slack tube manometer reminds me of the old water level, ie, the garden hose with a clear tube on each end. You cannot get more accurate than a water level. I am thinking the slack tube manometer has pretty much the same degree of accuracy. Neither of the tools is particularly convenient to use, but they sure are accurate.
Threw on some Avant Garde 19 inch wheels. I bought them off of a 997 owner. They have Bridgestone Potenza S-04s on them (235/35/19 - 295/35/19). Haven’t felt any rubbing in my short jaunt around the neighborhood. You guys think the tears stick out too much?
better pix to follow once I get her cleaned tomorrow.
I don't mean to be a Debbie downer, but your tires stick out too far and I'm pretty sure you are going to get rubbing upon suspension compression.

Very cool DIY. I got lazy and bought an inexpensive manometer off ebay, and put the nipple in a spare fill cap.

Yea i have 285's on 19's with a 40et. With the rear at 2.5* camber and fenders rolled i still rub a little. My car is lowered 1.5" but the bump stop should be close to the same place.

Before judgement time, I would try -2.5 rear camber and lowering. But that is not everyone’s taste...

yeah I haven’t had any rubbing yet but the tires need to be replaced as they are 6 years old. I’ve read that 295/30/19s fit better. Not sure if there’s anything I can do with the wheel sticking out tho
yeah, I don’t know if that’s the look for me. Here’s some better pix. Anybody have suggestions for a better lug nut fit? I’ll be buying new mugs as these are silver and are just plastidipped black as you can see they are peeling.
Toonces, I'd check those bolts, they look like the regular Porche OEM lugs, which I believe are ball seat.
My car came with a set of the AG M510 wheels. I asked the folks at AG whether the bolts were interchangeable and their response was that the AGs use 14x1.5mm conical seat bolts, not the Porsche ball shaped bolts.
They mentioned that they sell them for $40 a set in black or silver. Can't find it on their website though. I'd shoot them an email.
Here's a shot of mine - it sits much further in than I see on yours -
Bought a Cayenne that had totally wrong bolts for after market wheels and tires shop refused to remount the wheels and said the seats were shot. Ended up becoming garage art.
Also, those wheels stick out way too far. Might be best to go back to the drawing board....
Powder coated wheels and replaced center caps so the car would look fresh for the season starting soon. "Old" wheels need to come off. New vs Old Fresh paint, maybe a little shiny, but on the car they look great. Ready for the new season.
Yesterday... replaced stock bumper with Porsche Aero-Kit/GT3 bumper... It turned into a huge 7 hr. job including cleaning out the rads/condensers, cutting out the hole for my center rad and replacing a bunch of rusted/corroded hardware (speed nuts, screws, bolts and the like - good thing I had them on hand...). It came out great though, and I'm really happy I did it (but sore from rolling around on the concrete floor). pics to follow...
