Thanks for the updates on those two great cars from Norway. I've updated the list a couple of posts ago. Why does Norway seem to have an abundance of Ruf cars?

I have a RUF question

If a tuner or owner is just bolting RUF parts on can they also purchase RUF badges for hood and trunk or are those exclusive to RUF cars build by RUF technicians or factory authorized original configurations?

Turtletime,

The Ruf badges are available to anyone via their catalog. Some might argue that there must be a certain "level" of Rufiness to a car, or badging a car as such is in very poor taste.

Thanks..Not the answer I was looking for. Means car could be just mix-match of RUF and other manufacturer. Why would they just sell the brand name to place on anything. kind of contary to the whole idea of "Branding".

Turtletime,

I own a Ruf CTR and it is an interesting "mix-match" of Porsche and Ruf components. However, there is no doubt that it is a Ruf automobile, manufactured in Pfaffenhausen, Germany.
If you want to buy a Ruf badge to put on your snowmobile, Ruf will be happy to sell you one..., "branding" of the first order. Likewise, Porsche will be happy to sell you one of their Stuttgart badges and you can put it on anything you like. In the end it still gets "the name brand" out there.
