Default new RUF owner

Please add me to the list of proud RUF owners. My 1997 993tt came back from Dallas in November after getting the full engine conversion, suspension, steering wheel and pedals. What a transformation. Here are some photos from Dallas as well as one from a recent DE event in SoCal.

993 fvr,

Very nice car. I saw it at RUF during the conversion.

I would be curious to know your impressions before and after. I have a Turbo R, and it is the only 993TT that I have ever driven. So I have no point of comparison.

Enjoy it!

993fvr,
Congrats on the "new" car!! She looks great. Folks in Dallas are the best.

Patrick, you should drive a stock 993tt. The turbo R conversion makes a huge difference!!

I had my stock turbo about 7 months before I decided to do the RUF conversion.
When I got the car back, I noticed the difference in the suspension right away. The car seemed more planted at all speeds. As far as performance, the car feels the same as stock until 4000rpm.After 4000rpm, the turboR is so much faster, it's hard to describe. It's like a different car. It's especially noticeable when you accelerate in 3rd and 4th gear. Couldn't be happier with the improvement.

993fvr,

Congrats on your fine Turbo R. I'm not able to cut and paste right now... would you mind please cutting the most recent list, and adding your car at the bottom? Thanks a lot!

Default To Register - Ruf CTR1

Good-day, eh!
Excellent idea to identify Ruf owners and I am amazed that there are so many of the various Ruf models in North America.
My car is a Ruf CTR1, chassis VIN #12 out of 29 Ruf VIN CTR1 produced. It is red in colour and located in Ontario, Canada.
Excellence magazine (Dec. 2008) did a feature article on this car.

Looking forward to exchanging Ruf information and chatting with other Ruf enthusiasts everywhere.
