For you RUFaholics,
What does the letters in this picture stand for (black letters on the right side)? Is it a one-off logo? Looks like "THR" to me? I understand the T and the R in TurboR but what is "H" in this case? I have given up trying to figure it out
. I also noticed the bumper is not original but it's apparently a TurboR..
Edit: Just googled "RUF THR" and it seems like THR was the label used in Japan for the RUF "TurboR" conversion. T for Turbo H (being the 8th letter of the alphabet and 8th turbo conversion made by RUF (?)) and R for RUF. Interesting I've never heard of "THR" before.. Do a google search, turns up lots of pictures of different THR conversions..

1985 Ruf BTR
I can add my car to the list, 1985 Porsche 911 Turbo converted to RUF BTR by RUF Western America/Scottsdale Motorsports in 1987. Incl. 3.4L engine, 5 sp, front mounted oil cooler, gauges, boxed rockers, rear fender air inlets, RUF 17" wheels.

I've owned my 85 911 Turbo, RUF BTR conversion for a couple of weeks, and in the meantime, tried to learn everything I can about my car and RUF in general. I built a website with some Youtube video's, excerpts from books, a period ad etc. etc. For all the RUF experts on the list, please tell me if there are errors, and perhaps some omissions.. I would like to make it as comprehensive as possible. There is a lot more information out there on the CTR, and i still have some large blanks about the BTR history.

I'm not sure. I will certainly enjoy sorting it out and experiencing the car. I guess it depends on what else comes up... When I drive it in town it makes me wish for the 356SC that a friend has
