Car is MOT approved for another two years after I uninstalled the HIDs and went back to original lighting and bulbs. Car is also approved with smaller front registration plate than original and passed the 125.000 miles mark.
Spot the difference!

That is awesome acoustic insulation! I need to do it as well. Have you noticed a big difference yet regarding the cabin noise?
Thanks!

Went through a roll of paper towels changing the oil last night. More experienced folks seem to just drain and fill with 10 to 10.5qts but no, I've got to drain and measure before refilling.

Measured almost 10qts not including at least ~1 on the garage floor...

Got a new **** from FDM. Gold shift pattern to tie in with my wheels. Looks nice - heavier than the wood **** it replaced.

I replaced the center dash air vent, having given up on finding a way to tighten the vent slats which were loose and kept dropping and directing air downward. The new vent included a new foam strip at the back to seal off the vent to the HVAC opening coming through the firewall. I am hoping this new seal - the old foam had completely disintegrated - will increase the airflow through the vent as I suppose less air will be lost behind the dash. I took the opportunity to clean out the remains of the old foam and other dust/debris while I was in there. For some reason, it did not occur to me to take pictures...

I accomplished the replacement in a few minutes and only put a very small dent in the dash pad while wedging out the old vent. This was a minor victory for my ham-fisted self.

Owned it for about 2 hours before putting new wheels on. Some custom 3 piece Augment wheels (Cup RS) with gold hardware. Originally was having them built for my 964. Changed specs last min to fit a 993. Never thought I'd have to buy a car to mount wheels on but here we are. After 8 months...wheels are on the ground
