Decided to figure out why my bluetooth streaming to the CDR-210 sounded like garbage compared to when playing a CD. I opened the door panel and the speakers were fine. I decided to call Becker auto sound and ask what gives. They said that using my iphone to play the music, the volume on the phone was too high causing distortion. I lowered the volume on my phone from max to a range of 25 - 50% and it sounded crystal clear. Just posting this in case someone else has the same scenario. tmyk!

Porsche Radios 1996 - 1998 CR210/CDR210
Radios from this time period were not manufactured with a simple rear- panel connection for aux. The CR210 and CDR210 can be modified for Bluetooth streaming. For all modifications on these radios they will need to be sent in. $125

Using the "Bruce7" method from the search of the site, I started the job on the left bank, as that is the side i got the Durametric message that showed a fail on that side for the SAI. I had already changed out the SAI valve and vacuum switch valve above it last year but to no effect on the check engine light. Good news is with an application of Kroil penetrant the Fabspeed headers came off with no drama. Number 1 was missing one nut (!) and that was also the problem port with a pretty good carbon buildup (it took a while to find and free the SAI port). Using the bicycle cable method and a little carb cleaner at the end gave me success as I finally got the cable all the way through the channels. Next week I start on the right side, time permitting. I got a set of 2 lift bars and they work pretty slick, they are really heavy steel, lock into the 993 lift points and are very well made. Very secure lift process, I get a little anxious working under the car. Storage is like having 2 golf clubs standing in a corner, in other words no issue.
I am declaring a victory over the Check Engine Light and the SAI. Clearing the SAI ports in the exhaust ports seems to have worked and after 200 miles of mixed driving the CEL is still off. I know this isn't a permanent win, but I was amazed it actually worked!

Bought it ....... new to this platform so don't really know what I'm doing. I know ..... it's a tiptronic, but still. Did I do okay on price? Any and all feedback and advice would be welcome.
