searched for a quality upholstery repair facility for my 993 in South Florida. Driver side bolster needs repair. Can anyone recommend a contact or company
Finally went for a drive in the 993 with my kid driving and me as passenger! Headed south on Skyline to Hwy 9 and then into Los Gatos and then back home. What a blast for him and me. Too bad the A/C wasn't very good.
When we got home, I found the problem. A leaking expansion valve. After removing it, found that an o-ring was torn. They were apparently the wrong size. Found some that were the right sizes and reinstalled. Holding vacuum now and will recharge tomorrow.
Got it back from the shop after the fan & alternator belts decided to shred themselves just before the weekend. Had then replaced & bought a full set of spare belts to have on hand for future me from Suncoast.
Installing the motorsound airbox and a new K&N filter tonight — zero expectations for HP, but I’m a sucker for a bit more intake sound.
Finally get this installed. Not a lot of info on where to locate on Turbo S wings, so used various online pics get an approximate top to bottom and used a cross line laser level with the rear brake light assembly's factory mark as a center point side to side. Its that finishing touch that is very satisfying.
Took a family drive up the coast of MA to Manchester by the Sea for sunset. My daughter drove our Mercedes R107 and I drove the 993. Great way for all 4 of us to enjoy a couple of 2 seaters. ;-)
