Cheers.

Nearer to London? Travelling is not usually a problem, in fact I collected a customer from Manchester Airport on Saturday who had flown all the way to us from Malaya via Holland.

More like Maritime Blue, the flash of the camera has made the rh one look lighter than it really is.

Cheers, enjoy the finishing off of the build.

After a couple of weeks waiting, I received the replacement mufflers and tips from Tubi Sport via Scuderia Systems. Manu (at Scuderia) read this thread, and agreed that the car deserved a decent sounding system! A deal was reached and hence - here we are!

The new large polished ovals look the business - and the mufflers sound really good - not 'hollow' like the RSR's that I had on my previous 993. Quality is excellent, and I've been assured that there will be no resonance; yet to drive the car on the road, so we'll see (or hear!)

So - we're nearly there! The weather is getting a tad warmer, just a few paperwork details to sort and there'll be no stopping me!

I love hidden details like that. It's like a Louis Vuitton wallet, no one ever sees it but YOU know it's there.

Yep - those pesky StSt things, stopping all my fun! And the weather forecast looks so promising!

Wheels are just a headache for me at the moment! I've just 'borrowed' an 11.5Jx19 Sport Design rim with a 295/30 tire which will be trial fitted tomorrow. IF I can get the right combo to work, I will buy a set of the new 911 Sport Classic Fuchs design.
Across on the 993Turbo forum, guys are running 325/25x19" with rub issues! I don't want to have to start get the arches rolled at this late stage.
I tried an 11.5J with 305/30 and it appeared too big. A 10Jx19 with 275/30 fitted easily.
The standard 10Jx18" hollow spokes with 285/30's have got lots of air around them so whats an inch or so going to do?

He'll be seeing his physio tomorrow so let's see what they come up with.
FWIW, significant ligaments sprains or tears in the lower back are extraordinarily rare, usually the result of high energy trauma.

In a middle aged man (sorry Marc), low back pain after lifting with resultant muscle spasm and lack of ability to stand/extend straight is a disc problem 99.9% of the time. Sometimes a disc bulge or herniation, but more often simply overload and inflammation.

The aforementioned inversion table, physio, chiro, time, anti-inflammatories, and careful attention to lifting technique are all good approaches. The only thing shown (evidence, not opinion ) to reduce the severity and frequency of low back pain episodes is strength training (dead lifts, good mornings, squats - the real stuff).

Hope Marc is feeling better. More pics!!

If you can get them to fit, that would be sweet

Do you know what widths/size and offsets they come in?

plus just one more to the pile...

btw: graham, just a question re: the speedster s badge & you wrangling a speedster manual, etc.

was curious if you had ever thought of simply having it be badge delete?

i can only imaging how many times you're going to be asked about your re-newed beast.

Q: are you just going to lie? or say it's a tribute?

althebest w/ the build & thanks again 9m for the most visually interesting thread on rl in years.

one more Q... when is 9m opening up in the states? heard rumors of you speaking w/ callas guys a few years back re: the 3.8, etc...

My issue with Tubis was resonance at 3000-3500rpm. I only had them on for a few days back in 2001. But I have a coupe (6 speed). I dont believe these will be an issue on the Speedster. Other than the resonance they had a really lovely sound and were super light compared to OEM. They are probably a sound between RSR and Fabspeed. The resonance was not acceptable in the couple tho.
